RE: Associate Director Medical Affairs18 Jan 2023 08:24
Forgive my probing how old is that job advert and is the partnership with Ashfield still viable since it began in Jan 2022 Thanks ,desperate for some good news
We are currently experiencing a "Tri-demic " with increasing number of 'flu ,RSV and Covid cases .Since September the Universal Trial with collaboration from Janssen set out to study to understand the clinical outcomes of various patients against a RANGE of respiratory viruses and develop treatment strategies .SNG001 is a broad spectrum antiviral and its HOST SPECIFIC THERAPY (using the host's own immune system to fight viral (and bacterial) infection Seems like SNG are hopefully making the right moves to exploit the drug to its full potential albeit slowly but surely imo
RE: Covid, Novelli: "Interferon is the key"3 Jan 2023 12:09
“L’interferone è la chiave”
Read this translated yesterday "interferons are the Key " about two years ago I posted the same phrase on LSE after doing my research and invested heavily in SNG,. I still believe in that science shame Synairgen were unable to secure a Successful P3 trial. The scientific evidence continues to consolidated now and SNG still have a great opportunity and I am sure other competitors are looking on with interest .
RE: Covid negative test from January 51 Jan 2023 13:38
I feel P Monk's comments were reflective and how things could have been done better in the Sprinter trial .At the time the population numbers in the trial were considered statistically adequate .A minnow like Synairgen deciding to go " Global " showed great ambition and they managed to complete the trial was an achievement in itself albeit slowing things down to allow vast improvement in SOC with dexamethasone plus the competition for participation of appropriate patients and even blood samples Its been tough and going global to show population/ virus differences then the trial was definitely underpowered and its all about reflection now and lessons learnt , still they have achieved very worth while data on mortality reduction and long covid and now they need an opportunity of another trial hopefully to redeem themselves .All imho
Thanks Brand The Long Covid Peer Review published 2 December does that warrant a RNS ? I was tempting fate and asking about that in my previous post ! Well done Brand
Good Tidings Phillip Monk, CSO of Synairgen and Lead Author, said: "The results from the SG016[1] Phase 2 and the SPRINTER trial of SNG001 in hospitalised patients, and the ACTIV-2 trial in the home setting suggest that SNG001 may be preventing progression to severe disease. With these data we remain confident in the potential of SNG001 as a broad-spectrum antiviral for high-risk patient populations infected with respiratory viruses including influenza and RSV and are focused on its continued clinical development." Only criticism they did not remind share holders to look forward to possible further investigations of the unique Long Covid data and the antibacterial activity of Sng001 to overcome bacterial resistance in pneumonic lung disease etc just to herald the new year in Merry Xmas to all
"higher dose corticosteroids significantly increased the risk of death compared to usual care" Dreadful , I would like to know how many people actually died as a result of the increased dose that would have otherwise survived with usual care .If it was a family member of mine I would want to know and explain the ethics of this from the Knight of the Realm
Translation :Friends, these vaccines are so effective that here is the list of drugs in ATU, Temporary Authorization for covid 19 REMDESIVIR, BAMLANIVIMAB, RONAPREVE, ETESEVIMAB, SNG001, EVUSHELD The list is here
RE: The European Commission progresses cooperation for the development and availability of key therapeut1 Dec 2022 14:07
Thanks Brand After a quick read it all sounds good but what bugs me when I read on, it references in preparedness for future pandemics with synergy with Horizon Europe. I am still confused whether the UK is no longer eligible for Horizon funding since the UK left the EU, Any thoughts?
