Yes all drugs and vaccination may have an effect on LC at a certain stage ,but then it comes down to the mechanism of action of direct antivirals and an anti viral /immunomodulators action then we know it benefits the most vulnerable groups with impaired interferons etc whereas direct antivirals or Mabs may be less effective. I suspect our therapy will be more effective within these most vulnerable groups in the treatment of the many complex complications of PASC imo

I think SOC got in the way because the regulators insisted on the primary endpoints to save the NHS and not to reduce mortality in the most vulnerable and saves lives which the drug is at its most effective .To many vested interests by regulators BP has held this drug back rant over sorry reading that SG016 article open up 'old wounds' what great opportunities have been missed

So I read that as a significant viral (hrv) clearance was achieved up to the seventh day when a proportion patients were treated with sng001 when compared with placebo.I just think of days 1 to 6 as the lag phase of the treatment and day 7 optimal efficacy ?

So saddened by the news yesterday .And for me, forever irreplaceable

That one drug that they referenced is Roflumilast which found a reduction 13.2 % exacerbations in the drug group when compared with placebo I am hoping much greater things from our therapy .SNG with their broad spectrum antiviral /antibacterial ?, global expertise ,biobank, Patents , data , pending trials they should be calling the shots now imo

Acute exacerbation COPD (AECOPD) .Acute exacerbations of COPD are most commonly precipitated by bacterial or viral infection and environmental factors such as air pollution or cold temperatures

50% of COPD patients may suffer form life threatening purulent bacterial infections .Problem may be exacerbated because of untreatable antibiotic resistance bacterial strains .Hopefully RM can capitalise on this

All these years of asthma and COPD research Sng001 were found to be inconclusive because of lack of exacerbations now they have the proof it works This beats observational data this is data we want to progress The CRP maker will give RM at the AMC conference an alternative therapy to tackle the worrying problem of antibiotic resistance GLA

Thanks Doc.Daneeka and Manifesto I had a sleepless night ,thumping headache and heavy cold symptoms but feel much better after a paracetamol in the form of a Lemsip Hopefully its an omicron variant and I will be able to shake it off soon but will continue to self isolate for 5 -6 days
