Well Quinny CB batted in about the demand for copper doubling within a few years and how few major projects were in a position to take advantage. Escondida has labour problems and Southern Africa has similar issues. He also talked about the prospects of Eureka in glowing terms. The BOd awarded themselves a share option scheme which seemed reasonable . They also introduced a proposal to allow another £ 1.5m of share allotment which i queried and abstained on. More potential dilution but to be fair I thought they had the rights to do this anyway but maybe the articles restricted the share allocation to a billion or similar. Outside my pay grade this but at least I queried it. LR rambled on about copper and iron as if he were a minerals expert but i tried to get him focussed on our little company and not to pretend he was the boss of Glencore. Next AGM we need more shareholders prepared to test the BOD! and keep reminding the BOD that the prime purpose of the company is to benefit the owners not to indulge the fantasies of the M.D.

How long they will last. Not too long I would guess given their drilling intentions,
CB said we needed to be seen to be solvent to the license administrator and other interested parties, hence the placing. His exact words were more like.. you cant expect to be treated well if they think you're skint.
Like Quindell I also heard a rumour that we had been offered a low ball amount for Mankayan which CB had instantly rejected. Probably a speculative punt from an agent. Rumoured to be 10m but please discount this as I do not want to be accused of misleading anyone. Best to listen to CB's promised podcast with info and opinion from the horse' mouth. If has got around to making it.

Quinny , I did remind CB that he and I are not getting any younger and that in the long run we all dead etc. I even quoted him the famous Keynesian observation that “the market can remain irrational longer than the investor can remain solvent”. So i tried to get the point across that we would rather take a good offer now rather than hold out for some extravagant figure later. let’s see what he says in his podcast.

Went to a thinly attended AGM and tried to pin down CB on current position. I pointed out that at the investor show in April he promised to make the market and the trade aware of the “tremendous assets” owned by BZT. CB is a likeable and plausible man and he seemed honestly apologetic that his efforts had so far had no impact n the SP. There is no doubt that he doing his best to offload Mankayan and he assured us that he will deliver. Three months is not enough Mankayan he repeatedly reminded us ticks ALL the boxes and it is only a matter of time before we can realise its value. When it happens it will happen quickly and the share price will rise dramatically was the implication. He was at pains to point out that he has not put a “for sale notice “ over the mine as BZT is aware of the political problems of being seen as a flipper. So we continue to drill and although this may not massively enhance the prospective value it does demonstrate BZT’s good faith to the local community as a positive partner prepared to progress the Mankayan project.CB has promised a podcast update. LR also promised a news release soon.

Randy is right to rage about the constant and unplanned dilution which has ravaged the value our shareholdings in this company. Most of us even relative latecomers like myself have an average well over 1p. A mixture of bad luck (license impaired in Phili) and incompetence (poor management in Columbia) has reduced some shareholdings into near oblivion. This toxic mixture combined with hopeless PR has led to countless placings which have slaughtered our investments. The bungled placing in December managed to halve our valuations overnight, Colin Bird smelling blood came along as we hit rock bottom and a lucky combination of reinstated licence and rising copper prices might just save our bacon. But he has had a reasonable chunk of time and as yet nought to show for it. Only the latecomers and some brave (foolhardy?) folk who have averaged down stand to gain anything here . Hence Randys displeasure!

We have expecting this for some time. Upward price Momentum is there anyway which suggests good news

two months ago at the investor show Colin Bird said Bzt was the best value on the Aim. In other words the most undervalued. He said he and LR planned to spend the next couple of months making the world and the trade aware of the huge assets we had locked up in our tiny little company. Since then the license has been renewed and another 200million shares created. Yet the SP has barely moved. If they unveil some earth shattering news I shall keep quiet but otherwise why has the publicity drive produced so little in real terms for the shareholders who were promised much hope and yet so far nothing . If deals were really in the offing the Sp would surely have moved by now? I shall of course probe why the continuing disconnect between CB’s valuation and the market.

Does anybody plan on going along to the AGM this friday at 100 am 30 Portland Place W1B 1LZ.? I am going and am happy to ask any questions if you would like some put to the board...

Not entirely accurate to say all the data currently in the public domain has been known for ages. The confirmation of the license extension is very recent news and critical to the rerating of this stock which should come fairly soon after the placing shares are released

we are all dead! A long term investment is just a short term one that went wrong. etc etc.. I think this is another underpriced SP where the management need a shake up and when this happens we could see a serious reratimg. Let�s hope it happens very soon..

You m ay not be a fan of Colin Bird Quinny but he has shaken things up and has a lot of skin in the game. This company was going nowhere fast until he came along and invested much needed expertise and cash. I think it was Ed Nealon�s parting gift to Bzt to bring him on board and I for one am very grateful. I see there was much activity in Richland yesterday. another of your interests I believe. RLD also looks like it might be beginning to take off.

is a first class mining engineer and is in charge of the Mankayan project. It is Ronnie who has kept the BZT flag flying amid all the political confusion over licenses which forced us to write Mankayan down to zero. (JackSm please note) Nevertheless even when Mankayan was written off the SP was four times the current price on the strength of our Platinum operation. However we all know that El Choco has been rejected by our new chairman as a minnow and not worthy of his time or investment. He is much keener on Mankayan which he valued at 40 times todays SP. YES 40 TIMES ..... He may be optimistic but before today the only reason for pessimism was any lingering doubt over the status of our mining licence. Today's news confirms that we have only upside on this project and the disconnect between SP and asset value could not be greater. If I had not already invested half my pension fund in this share I would be piling in even more. Maybe I should put the other half in?

You bet your sweet life the constant drip drip of dilution dented sentiment. Properly managed the SP should still be around 2p and rising not down in the halfpenny stakes. But we may soon get back to a happier place and today's news should help.

Either the Jorc asset is wrongly valued or BZt. mcap is. The argument will soon be settled when Manakayan is sold. I do. not think we will have to wait much longer.

Averaging down may have killed more investors than the great depression but at times you have to do it. You will feel aggrieved if this share bounces back up as it probably will given the new Chairman's attitude, the restoration of mining activity in the Philippines and the current copper price Colin Bird thinks this should be worth 20-25p. The rest of us will be very happy if it gets back to 4-5p. You on the other hand will be left grinding your teeth!

is that he has been there and done it twice. I.E taken a small exploration company from obscurity and no cash and sold it on to a big company for lots of cash. He says he can do this for Bezant and I hope he is right. His record may not be perfect but it is a lot better than most and as he says the exploration business is a high risk high reward business so it is never going to be 100%.

To be fair to Colin, he pulled off two major coups namely Kiwara and again in Saudi as he describes in his podcast when he invested $100k and left the business 19 months later with $180m in the bank. So he is not a one trick pony. Also we long term shareholders have very little to lose at the current SP with a �3m mcap. So no point in "being careful"as munchbox advises. There is buggar all left at this valuation to be careful with! If CB is only 10% right in his valuation (or 90% wrong) we shall be much better off than we are now. Mankayan has been JORC evaluated and CB has invested a lot of his own money remember.
