I think Ed left to allow his good friend Colin Bird take over the chairmanship. CB arrived with plans to contact out Choco but I think he is mainly keen to revive interest in Eureka project given the high copper price Hence his serious investment of 400k Ed has still plenty of shares in the company.

Dazbrad ....In a recent podcast CB pointed out that there teams of contractors available who could operate in just such a location as El Choco . He is familiar with this sort of working arrangement and I presume this is what he has been organising on his trip. He needs to share some news of his activities with the shareholders if he wants us to keep faith

I emailed Laurence over the weekend and asked when we could have a time frame for the conclusion of negotiations as we are all getting a little fractious at the length of these negotiations . He replied quite promptly from Perth and stated he was right in the middle of talks but could not quantify or call success just yet. He said he would make an announcement as soon as he has a conclusive answer. He went on to say that he thought he had given quite a comprehensive update in the last RNS and "putting a time frame on it affects the process itself". He also pointed out that everything is being documented.

I feel similar frustration Hemo but i also think this just might be the best moment to buy BZT. Darkest moment just before dawn and all that. I do not think CB would have invested so much of his own cash if he didn�t think he could make some good profit. I think we will get some news soon and I expect it will be positive enough to move the SP . Dunno when and this is the frustration but it cannot be too far away.

BZT management's capacity to disappoint seems infinite. How long does it take to negotiate when there are several interested parties. We have been in Columbia for several years and we should by now have a proposition in place as to how to get into production and one of the parties should be pushed to sign up pronto or risk of missing out if they delay. Remember LR told us one potential suitor has already placed his equipment on site. We are quite entitled to some actual information on how and when we are to restart production at Choco . CB said in a recent podcast that once Choco is running profitably it would cover the company's costs and we could look at the other assets without having to survive through firesale disposals We simply do not have the resources to develop either Eureka or Mankayan so we need to dispose of them at a decent price before we run out of cash again or at least arrange a JV when we provide the license and partner provides the development funds. This company cannot rely on an inexhaustible supply of patience from its shareholders.

It is now three and a half months since the fateful calamitous fundraising event in early December. We have since acquired a new chairman and a few more hundred thousand shares in circulation . Now close to 750m so at least there is no shortage of funds but we really need to know how the plans are progressing. CEO was very optimistic at the GM on March 1st so I expect he will enlighten us in the next week or two with the details. Does anybody know when management get back from South America? I do agree with Quindell that this is due to spike but am get a little frustrated by the slow pace.

Brilliant. Many thanks for this. Sure gives hope to poor little beleaguered Bezant. We have a lot of upside scope and hopefully cannot for long remain one of the the most undervalued, asset rich stocks on AIM.

Colin Bird has had some spectacular successes and some wipeouts but can anyone report of any positive results achieved by our CEO?

Totally agree Quindell . At least Colin B is backing up his bullish view of Bezant with his cash. I presume he will now want the SP to head North along with the rest of us. News of a partnership agreement in Choco should be next followed by update on Mankayan negotiations.

He has had some pretty successful ventures in his time. His estimated net worth is 30m .Life is tough in South Africa and Zambia at the moment . So jLM is not viewed favourably by the market. Bezant does not need much of a push to start producing a reasonable income in Columbia $6million a year (estimate by Read at fridays GM) Columbia is not Switzerland but a lot more secure than Africa.

thanks for posting this podcast. Colin Bird thinks he has got very good value for his �400k personal investment in BZT. Says we have got two world class assets and El Choco. Begs the question as to why are we languishing at such a low SP.? I had thought Beaufort were mainly responsible due to incompetent fund raising but it turns out they were worse than incompetent, criminal even. And Bernard and Laurence were following their advice.! Now we are free from Beaufort�s clutches albeit by default. Plus with Colin at the helm and Peterhouse advising, things will improve and let�s hope as Colin says in the podcast the �the risks can be high but the rewards can be immense�.

They were a useless bunch who deserve no sympathy from us as they tried to shaft us at every opportunity. They suggested a .25 fund raising and but for Peterhouse our SP would be even lower.

Laurence was talking speculatively about Argentina project and that he may look for funding if the SP was around 2.5 and the market had appetite for funding the project. This is would be some time into the future so I do not think it is a concern for the moment. Main focus is to get Choco back up and running pronto.

After the formalities laurence agreed to discuss questions with me and a couple of other shareholders. Laurence as ever was optimistic and explained the company is talking to several exploration companies who are interested in operating our El Choco licences. He is proposing to do a deal to cover both licenses. BZT would reemain in control in any event. One of the interested parties has already placed its equipment on site. This has been allowed in order to encourager les autres. Laurence believes BZT and Exumax made an error in their original excavation process given how the gravels compacted in different areas and now he intends to use sonic drilling techniques and the company already on site has the required equipment. An RNS about the deal when it is agreed will be announced asap. As to Mankayan he is going to apply more energy to extracting some value from this. The Mankayan project was Bird's chief interest in joining the company so we hope Bird's expertise should help a lot. In summary there is still an element of jam tomorrow but maybe not too far off now as he appreciates that getting Choco back into production is the key to long term success and this should be imminent. The other shareholder pointed out that any one of the three assets could be enough to sustain a normal AIM share . Laurence considers that BZT assets are better and more valuable than 80% of AIM . miners. There should be no more fund raising until we get to 2.p -2.5 he suggests. Amen I hear you say...

Assuming these are sells. What does this say about tomorrow's general meeting?
