Hi Brighty. That post doesn't tell us how long the extended period is. That is obviously by design as a quick Google says 2 months to 2 years. So which is it?

When will 1801 be phase 2 ready? We will know soon enough, possibly this week even. Like I said earlier. personally, though disappointing, anything upto 1 year would be acceptable but anything more than that is bad news.

I terms of a update, We shouldnt accept anything less than. When does the new study start, can we expect running updates and when do they anticipate it will finish and the data be ready to be published?

Once we have the above, the market will decide what the risk adjusted share price should be.

Hi Ben, it's not pedantic, no need to apologise. It's right there in the RNS. Like I said, if the next update doesn't state P2 starting in 2025, there will be a lot more angst ridden shareholders on here.

The ones just after 8 have to be sells. They are lower than the previous close. For the others, you'd need a good broker to but that many and not push the sp up. So who knows. 26p is a 30% profit for those 20p subscription shares. Not a bad return. I'm always OK with this strategy. Sareum still gets the cash, so it is largely irrelevant to us.

Let's wait and see eh, Laz. Personally, anything upto a year would be acceptable but if there is a 2026 mentioned for P2 trials. The AGM will be fun.

I've no idea, Bobbler. I'm thinking a year before we get any meaniful data from the study. The board need to be clear with these timescales. We know the SP drifts down in between news cycles. With 1801 and 1802 both accounted for. That only leaves 737 to offer a bit of respite for the shareholders.

The phrases "gaslighting" and "sanctimonious b*llends" come to mind.. They didn't say subject further to studies either. They moved the goal posts again and tried to dress if up as good news.

The only truth is the RNS, if we have to second guess those we may as well just make it up.

CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT

Sareum has made good progress during and after this period progressing its lead clinical asset, SDC-1801, through a Phase 1a study. The single ascending dose (SAD) part and the food effect study of SDC-1801 have progressed well, giving the Company continued confidence over the clinical momentum in the trial and optimism as we move towards the completion the study.

The multiple ascending dose (MAD) portion of SDC-1801 is nearing completion. Sareum aims to conclude this part of the trial by the end of Q2 2024. Subject to data review, additional funding and/or potential licencing opportunities, we endeavour to be in a position to commence a Phase 2a study in psoriasis patients before the end of 2024.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the TYK2/JAK1 class offers great potential for the treatment of autoimmune disease, with potential for broad coverage and increased efficacy across key targets, lower toxicity and potentially stronger efficacy. We believe SDC-1801 has the potential to be a best-in-class TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor for autoimmune diseases and we're excited about its progress in this ongoing clinical study. While the MAD study is still in progress, interim data shows that levels of SDC-1801 in blood are already in the expected therapeutic range, and achieve concentrations greater than those predicted to reduce signalling of cytokines dependent on TYK2 and/or JAK1 activity by 50% for a sustained period following once daily oral dosing. Safety data remains blinded, but no serious adverse events have been reported to date.

We were also encouraged that, after the period end, Sareum's co-development partner, the CPF entered into a development and commercialisation license agreement for SRA737 with a private biopharma company based in the US. We are delighted that a partner has been identified to take this molecule forward into further development.

so, do we go on the rns or what's written in the report? the paragraph i posted was from the rns. loads of posters here have been quoting p2a starting in 2024. hands up who here thought p2a trials would start in 2024. i've always been completely open and i did have my doubts but i did believe it back in the spring and summer. mainly because that's what the rns stated.

there will be tears before bedtime here. it will get worse before it gets better. funded, yes but the timescales will **** people off.

I posted a paragraph straight from the report. If we are not to base our investment strategies on official RNS, what do we base it on? And to coin EP's phrase. why not everyone make a valiant effort to objectively look at what the board tell us. It isn't angst, they aren't doing what they said they would in an official RNS.

Below is from the march half year report. On just over 6 month tthey've gone from "we endeavour to be in a position to commence a Phase 2a study in psoriasis patients before the end of 2024" to getting "1801 READY for P2". They've added a delay without, yet, any explanation. Why should we now trust anything they say?

It was 28p which equated to £14 in pre RF days and dillution. That £14 would be less than £7 now. A lot here would take that, I think.

It has all the makings of a classic sh*t sandwich, FTC. Get the placings out of the way before telling us the timescales. The penny will drop on how long we have to wait with nothing to hold the price up and then we'll get some seemingly good news, possibly another subscription.
