I think a lot of posters here aren't acknowledging how serious this 'could' be. From a regulatory point of view, the NOMAD will be looking for clarity, a binary position. Has the Tox study identified a compound failure or can they move forward? Sareum will first have to work out why there were issues, then work out how to move forwards, IF they can. Best case scenario is a delay, worst case, the compound is canned. The market will need to be told ASAP and as we are due the final results on Thursday. I think the NOMAD will require Sareum to put something out before then. They might be able to request some more time or maybe push out the final results a few weeks and if so we'll get an RNS stating that. I'm not saying it as serious as above but the NOMAD won't allow ambiguity. Is there a way forwards or not.

Flip the narrative and research why this is bad. You will find plenty of data to back up that view. The biggest being the board have raised cash on the back of P1 data. For you theory to be true. They misled the investors.

I believe and always have that the 'advice' to do the Tox study first was from a CRO. There might be partners in the wings, but generally, exclusivity comes at a price. The problem for me is. When I initially invested, I invested in the licence at pre or early clinical business model. I never intended to hold past phase 2 and never wanted the pivot where Sareum carry all the risk. Not doing phase 1b might be the biggest mistake the board ever made.

Evoq are interesting. They already have 3 deals in place. Two big players too. Sanofi and Gilead. Mostly to secure rights to early research and their Nanodisc platform. It begs the question, what does Evoq have that Sareum doesn't? My initial guess would be ongoing funding. If you can afford to say no, the offers and urgency grow.

Kymab were also involved with Wellcome Trust. A lot of early financing came from them. Thoth used to talk about Wellcome Trust quite a bit and the link with the gates foundation. I've always thought that any deal that Sareum does will probably have Dr Owens fingerprints all over it. Parker is corporate finance buts it's Owens little black book IMO.

Kymab were private but Dr Owen was listed as co-founder and CSO. Because they were private you won't find much out about his involvement.

Bobbler, it depends on whether 1801 can keep moving forward. If yes, and not too much delay. Then we are back on track. We can safely bat away any offer less than £500 million. If we end up in an aurora type scenario with extra work needed on the formulation. A low ball offer could come in. We need to not forget here than Damion's analysis, although plausible is just guesswork. I'm thinking the nomad will have approved the RNS and Parkers comments re starting up the trial elsewhere. I get what you are saying but considerably higher incidences in the control group seems to also suggest that the effect was lessened by 1801 as this group wasn't affected as much. It doesn't make sense.

The bit I don't understand about your take on this Damion is. The phase 1a results said blood plasma levels of 1801 were significantly in excess of the predicted therapeutic exposure. So they would know how much of the compound was absorbed, as they know the amount administered. Again a simplistic view but I presume the scientists know how to work out the absorption from the two figures.
