Agreed on the director buys. They don't need to mention 1801 to show some confidence. However, they can't buy until after the final results are released.

Question. When increasing dose size. Do they add more 1801 or increase the vehicle. E.g. week one 1 capsule, week two 2 capsules and so on. I know this is simplistic but That sort of thing. Presumably, you should be able to take the inactive vehicle in large doses, long term with no effects at all?

Yes, but the fact that we can all make assumptions from the RNS means it isn't clear enough. As Damion says the legal implications for those currently buying or selling is huge and they fall back to Parker. He's on record saying , it's unlikely to be 1801 which could could technically be true. I guess the NOMAD will cut him some slack but a second RNS will need to clarify things ASAP.

If you are talking about the 'dirty batch' that is standard practice. Phase 1a, will have used a formulation that was as pure as can be. As I understand it, the dirty batch is used to mimic the final formulation that can be scaled up and will be given to patients in the phase 2 part of trials. This is standard practice. Not just tweaking. If this is the issue. It isn't a mistake by anyone but it probably means 1801 isn't as orally available as the board once thought. And that means stepping back a few years. I don't know the science here so I'm not going to comment with further speculation.

They don't reinvent the wheel here. The delivery method will be a formulation that is tried and tested to give all compounds the best chance at being successful. The animals aren't just caught and experimented on with different methods. Everything about the trial is controlled, animals bred for the purpose, tried, tested and repeatable methods. The science doesn't allow for the board to tweak something beyond the standard method. The best we can hope for is that something went awry that wasn't 1801. Best case scenario is another delay. Worst case is a fire sale.

Who said they have tweaked the compound? The patents are literally applied to the molecular makeup of the 'compound'. If they change the compound, the patents are no longer valid. This type of speculation does more harm than good. Just to wait and see.

The dogs weren't given a 'placebo'. It just means they weren't given the active compound and as dogs can't comprehend what a placebo is. The word and therefore, the benefit is irrelevant in this type of study.

There isn't a 'placebo'. Nothing is added. The control group would have been given a capsule (I presume) that would be identical to the treatment group but without the active 1801 compound.

He said "its unlikely to be 1801". Its not the same thing. However, it was an RNS and was probably approved by our NOMAD so the other stuff in the RNS is encouraging.

It was a sell, IMO. Someone saw the RNS and got on the phone to their broker and sat they wanted out at 16p. That's why the SP immediately dropped to 10p on the bell. 900k shares is a lot to shift but it looks to have been filled by 8:45. I wouldn't mind betting its one of our bigger holders here. Getting some of their initial investment back. Not saying it was Billy but I'd be keen to hear what Billy's take on this is.
