i'm with sog and others here. for now 1801 is ok but there has been a **** up with excipients, possibly because the scope was changed. hence the "as originally scoped" line in the rns. the original initiation rns also said 'studies' and 'in parallel'. if the cro advised a change of scope and it hasn't panned out then maybe they are liable for running the study as originally scoped again.

I don't think they will write off 1801. They haven't written off aurora yet! And in p1a they reached in excess of a therapeutic dose with no issues. I'm saying the CNS compound might be molecularly different enough from 1801 and 02 to say it's a completely new compound. Same with 737. If the patent life can be extended somehow. It could be worth £800 million, IMO. I'm just guessing what their thinking might be.

The doom and gloom are us largely of the boards making. If we don't get and RNS today there must have been some serious negotiations with the NOMAD to give evidence why one wasn't published. But essentially, the buck stops with the board. That's what AIM rules 31 says. The board are responsible for compliance.

NAV, I think the board have known the risks of doing the study for a while now. We all should, very few trails get past this point. IMO, Bringing 737 back in house and the CNS stuff are insurance for if there is a failure. SOG and I had had several disagreements about the risk of doing a Tox study last year. There would be no point doing the study if it was just a formality.

Yes, PC but the board used the word 'advised' with no context. For all we know. SAR could have approached the CRO and said we want to prove the compound is phase 2 ready. The CRO then 'advises' how best to do that. IMO, some here heard the word advice and ran with it. Making up a narrative test supports what they want to happen. Just like "soon the world will know" or "form an orderly queue".

The NOMAD will advise what can be released to the market. My guess is kicking the can down the road and maybe distancing the CNS work from 1801 and 2.

Good in a way. Regulatory news, especially bad, is usually released when the market is closed or late in the day. We might get an update at 11 today, possibly kicking the can down the road. If not I can't see how can hold the I'm call tomorrow.

They can't, not say anything, sog. You can't do a forward looking statement and forecasts for cash burn with uncertainty from our main drug candidate. Any update will also need to be separate to the final results. Based on the investigations so far. The NOMAD will advise what can and can't be said to the market. I reread all of this year's Edison reports yesterday evening. With the benefit of hindsight, it's all there. Reformulation and resynthasis of drug components and the fact that 737 protects against the risk of full pipeline failure. I guess any questions regarding new formulation that have been raised for the IM call will just be directed to these reports, saying "we did tell you". It's a lesson learned for me. Hopefully a positive message will arrive beforehand.
