It does look like Ukraine will ultimately have to sign some kind of irrevocable agreement to not join NATO which NATO will have to ratify to see the tanks rolling back to Russia.

They won't like agreeing that, as it's bowing down to bullying by Putin, but diplomacy should hopefully see a deal done.

Putin will be able to claim some kind of victory over the west and save face back home.

Mainland Europe will get its new shiny Gas pipe laid into Germany.

Ukraine will receive its 'right to exist' recognised by Russia for as long as it remains ring-fenced from ever joining NATO (US).

I can't see them all shaking hands on this today, but if an agreement in principle is reached subject to various conditions etc hopefully a way forward can be found.

I think it's notable that China has broken its silence and called for a ceasefire.

My portfolio had far too much cash at the start of the year so with the market volatility and inflation risks I moved cash into the Gold and Silver ETC's.

Sensible low risk move that is delivering decent gains, highly liquid market, so better than holding cash imo where real cash returns will be -7.5% by the year end based on present inflation levels and I just wasn't prepared to see my purchasing power eroded especially as real inflation is running much higher.

I hold a number of explorors and producers to provide a higher risk/ reward exposure.

I think that's an excellent answer.

POLY opened in the US markets at $4.24.

It's presently trading at $4.90

That's 15.57 % UP since trading in the US opened.

This is clearly presently priced for the Dividend to be scrapped.

A good point was however made earlier by another poster....POLY has all that cash already provisioned to pay the dividend set aside and that cash isn't going anywhere.

...what if the Divident isn't scrapped?

...what If they announce share buy backs?
