Just took a look at the EUA bb.. absolute carnage.

Just sold some oil to take advantage of the spike and lock in profits.

Added some more silver ETC.

Now the Russian tanks have crossed the border I can't see them treating this like a day trip.

Much higher inflation seems a certainty now.

Gold & Silver a good safe haven until things become more clear.

All the small caps however suffering from general market risk off sentiment today, loaded more into my Silver and Gold ETF's first thing and will just watch them continue to keep ticking up with all the uncertainty around.

Most the traders will be 'risk off' general equities market today and parked up long on Gold and oil watching from the sidelines.

As Gold keeps ticking up, Silver is like a coiled spring and when it starts to go, all the silver miners will shoot up like on the last silver short squeeze.

Will the Silver squeeze be successful this time?

Thanks guys. I'd picked up the drilling map which pins and labels 21EHDD001 & 21EHDD003.

The other drill holes are not yet labelled.

Not a big issue ahead of results, but as the outstanding assays come in, it would be good to help understand the geology which the other hole data relates to the targets shown on the map.

I guess this will be updated by the company.

The J reef and Munni Munni targets are particularly exciting as these could considerably increase the both the known silver resource size and other base metal resources.

Does anyone have a map detailing the drill hole locations on this latest round of drilling at EH?

Re: Silver.. never known in recent times such a variety of factors impacting the macro environment such as is playing out at present.

Ultimately the longer the global uncertainty continues the more upwards pressure we will see on the metals market and is there anyone on here anticipating a sharp reversal in uncertainty?

Noticed JPM are predicting a spring rally in the wider equities market, I expect that might get sold into by those picking up the bargains at present, especially if the geopolitical situation hasn't improved.

Where does that then leave us, likely with silver running up towards $30... how far it will run once it gets going is anyone's guess.

The attempted squeeze failed last time just above the $30 after just 3 days.

If we witness a successful squeeze this time around then silver could suddenly and with little warning rip significantly higher.

Yes, time but more specifically metres drilled and for juniors that is usually a costly exercise and one which OMI enjoy the benefit with two majors giving a free carry on the drilling and the size of workforce and drill crews at their disposal isn't really an issue here.

I've got a good grip on what is required to move to JORC MRE and the metres required based upon the size of the resource looking to be defined, drilling for grade and then definition, infil drilling, step out drilling, confirmatory drilling, hole twinning etc and then further infil drilling to move from resource to reserves.

My point was a broader one, in that Agnico have arrived here with a target of 5Moz+

I suspect if the geology wasn't likely to deliver, they would have moved on and not been so eager to close JV negotiations on phase 2.

This indicates to me that we look to be on for this 5Moz+ target, these guys don't get out of bed for 500koz

So, my point being, they may not race to release a JORC if ultimately they want to take the whole project, look at what is happening at GGP over just 5% where shareholders are in the dark over the MRE2

It probably suits Agnico to relax in putting out an initial MRE, but Brad might want to push for one to be established as it would strengthen OMI's hand in any future discussions.

Either way, without a formal MRE speculation will continue to run rife as to the size of the discovery here if grades keen being returned in line with previous.

Not had chance to watch the latest interview yet, but can anyone shed any light on whether we think a JORC resource will be established this year.

I recall from the previous interview last year that Brad was asked the question after the last lot of results and he stated not at that time.

There is definitely a sizable data set being collected here and part of me wonders if Agnica are holding off for now as a defined JORC would certainly underpin the valuation here and if grades continue to be churned out in line with previous, we could be looking at a substantial MRE.

Trades printed on this site are ascribed a buy or sell based on whether the trade was above or below the midprice at the time of the transaction.

Delayed printed trades (usually those of size) are often ascribed as unknown as the algorithm isn't smart enough to know whether it was above or below the mid price at the time of the transaction so it just prints as unknown, but it you look at what the mid price was at the time of the trade you can determine whether it was a buy or sell based upon the mid point.

If you are referring to the 3.5m trade printed as unknown this afternoon, it was above the mid point at the time so almost certainly a buy.

Phil must have read my comments from a couple of days ago on here when it looked to have bottomed and thought to himself, yes that Portfolio guy talks sense and loaded up accordingly.
