Genuine Question7 Apr 2021 21:39
Hi,
This is a genuine question i would like to ask those really following this company closely please
It's out of hours so please don't kick off as i have historically been skeptical about ODX chances of success. Am i understanding this correctly:-
They won a MAJOR contract from DHSC for up to £ 373m which is a game changer for them. To be fare this is a really good win and the hard bit. Not many businesses can claim an order that size. Then same day put out an RNS saying effectively they could only start it once they had a product they could manufacture. Then along come Mologic and then ODX say we have a CE mark of the Mologic LFT and can start manufacturing this product from this month. Great
So Does this mean that IF say another tech coy, a competitor of Mologic came up with a better LFT or even a similar one BUT agreed a lower royalty per test hence, increasing ODX margin per unit they could switch??? OR does anyone know if the Mologic deal is binding and prevents them securing a better deal elsewhere?
From my own perspective i'm still struggling to put a realistic fundamental valuation together here you see, i'm not sure how much cut Mologic take in royalties per unit, there was a rumor it was £1 a unit? how negotiable this is and as i say if they can switch if a better deals comes available.
Can anyone provide clarity? Thanks in advance
