I Just can’t imagine what you have personally been through with the loss of your dear wife. My heartfelt condolences. No amount of money can ever right that.
Most of us will know someone or will be touched by Cancer at some point in our lives, we can’t undo the past the best we can hope for is that we can help change things to improve the lives for future generations.
I believe that Valirx are at least trying to make a difference. Hey if just one drug is ultimately commercialised and saves even just one person it will all be worth it.
Of course, you are perfectly right about the previous management team, they were a total bloody disgrace. it’s a totally different company now, different USP, different ethos, different management team and led by a CEO you can have total trust and faith in. From an investment perspective it represents an entirely different and advantageous risk/reward ratio to anytime in its history but that doesn’t change what has gone before it.
If its any consolation, if you are investing long enough, no matter how much detailed research you do when making an investment decision, the deck is often stacked against you on AIM, some CEO’s may be economical with the truth or just out for themselves or without any form of moral compass and you can’t always identify that easily. I have made two similar such bad investment decisions in the past that I could not foresee, and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for sure.
We have an amazing CEO here in Suzy, honest as a days long who genuinely cares about the bigger picture. She obviously can’t change what was before her, but she is doing things differently. It may take some time for you to see a return on your historic investment but at least the recovery process has finally started, and your past investment has at least helped move the legacy drugs on, which Is something.
If she does ultimately build this to a 500m company as mentioned in the Podcast, now that would be some achievement wouldn’t it. So, all is not lost, you never know, stranger things have happened.
