TruthSearcher - Good post and I totally agree with all your comments. I also have a gut feeling that this is going back to 180p. My instincts tell me to sit tight and wait a little bit longer. With regards to the shorts, Crispin Odey is nobodies fool. The fact that he increased his short by 1.2m shares recently concerns me. Immediately after he increases his short then negative press articles are released! How ever much people despise and dislike shorters, the one thing that can't be taken away is the fact that they have called this right all along. As there has been a lot more money made by going short, than there has been by going long.

I subscribed to the Telegraph just to the read the article. It's a bit ambiguous and contradictory. They quote that the Investec analyst states that Metro will just have to forge ahead to find a suitable candidate regardless, because of the unknown timeline the FCA outcome will take.

Amers - I can fully understand your frustration. The SP is pathetic and the mkt cap for the Bank is absolutely abysmal! But at some stage it must turn. The question is when? It's just about treading water at the moment, and flip flopping around the 200p mark. It just needs a glimmer of good news to kick start the SP. Surely everything must be out now on the bad news front? Good luck.

It will be interesting to see if it can hold 198p? As it's been tested many times of late.

Lti - I'm also keeping my powder dry at the moment. As I feel there will be a better opportunity to buy in lower, and that seems to be the general consensus on here. As always you are going to get the inevitable rampers trying to encourage peeps to buy now, before the ship sails! But I do think long term this has legs. Good luck.

It was really interesting reading all the posts yesterday regarding the shorts on Metro. As one contributor pointed out, the shorts have decreased significantly from where they were at one point, yet the SP has failed to rise. Is it possible that those shorts closing, have effectively propped up the SP artificially? And the SP could be a lot lower than it currently is, had they not closed some of their positions. With regards to Odey only increasing by 0.72%, as one poster eloquently puts it. "Only 0.72%" still equates to over 1.2m shares. This is still a significant amount of stock. Metro is still a high risk play and certainly not for the faint hearted. The SP could move significantly in either direction. This share now desperately needs some news, and I for one hope it's good. I'm still looking to take a stake. GLA.

Cuddothisnow - I would be happy with a 180p entry, obviously 170p would be even better! I've read the phrase "This is going to fly soon" so many times on here, but it's the same old, on all the other share threads. I've sat on my hands for quite a while watching Metro. I don't mind waiting a little bit longer.

Theosus - Thank you for the reply. I see 180p as fair value. Seeing as it's fallen by so much, another 10% shouldn't be too difficult. The SP is certainly flat at the moment. I would definitely feel more comfortable with an entry of 180p rather than the current 200p. I would then set a stop loss at 140p in the event that things got any worse. Good luck. ATB. Popeye.

I'm still looking to take a position in Metro, but I will wait for the inevitable dip below 200p. Ideally I would like to be buying in the 180's. I think it's a very realistic price target. I would be interested to hear the views of others.

Jimjam - I have to agree. I also think that it has more potential and upside of going to 250p rather, than back to 150p. Thank you to everyone for taking the time and sharing their thoughts.
