BoBetts - The offer for WH is 60% higher than the pre-close from when the initial approach was made. So if we use that as a rule of thumb, then AA will be 60% higher than the the closing SP on the 3/0820 which was 25p. That would give us an offer of 40p. Personally I think it will be a lot higher, but you pay your money and you take your pick. Let's see what the H1 trading update brings tomorrow, they can also give an update to the cash situation as of the 28th September. Good luck all. Atb. Popeye.

Clemoc - Good luck and well done on your profit. I bought batches between 15-18p and sold them between 28-30p. I then added considerably on the 15th May at 18.12p. I've been adding ever since. It will have to drop a 11% on Monday for you to get get your target of 32.7p, which in my opinion is unlikely, but hey anything is possible with shares!!! Hi deemule. I trust you and your family are all well. It wouldn't surprise me if today's manipulation was to assist with T&T's exit. There are far worse shares we could be locked into at the moment than AA. For example SAGA!!! Some of the poor souls on there have been averaging down from 200p. We're in a fortunate position, today's manipulation is not unexpected or causing any major problems to those of us that were in at much lower levels, it's an opportunity. Good luck. Atb. Popeye.

Chris, I agree it's unfair, but it's all part of the games that are played prior to a bid. On Monday of this week there was a 10% swing in the SP, we ended up closing at 38.9p. Remember T&T still have to close on virtually 10m shares. Atb.

watkins2008 - If it's any consolation I added £20k worth at 37p, as I still saw them as extremely good value. So I personally would be more than happy to be holding at your average of 38p. Don't expect fireworks too soon, as I believe that there will be an extension on the 1st September. This would be viewed as a positive and we should then start to see the SP move up to 45-50p. Just a little friendly heads up. Be extremely careful of what you read on here. Take all comments with a pinch of salt, and most importantly DYOR and make your own investment decisions. Unfortunately the devil is amongst us, and is preying on weak, nervous, impatient holders, and is trying to spread a bit fear. driveat15 - Spot on. I think earliest an offer will be announced is the 29th September, and it could well drag into October or November. I personally believe that the big insurance companies are waiting for the PE companies to flush a price out of AA and then they will make their move. The synergies and cost savings for an insurance company to acquire AA are absolutely huge. Months ago I mentioned Aviva as a possibility. I do think the price predictions should be an exact figure??? Not say 65-70p or 75-80p. When you do guess the weight of the baby, and you're all in for £100 a go it's the exact weight that wins. You don't say between 7 and 8lb!!! You say 7lb 12oz!!!

Put me down for 76p please. I did say months ago that the AA would be taken out, and Iwas told Iwasa dreamer by the muppetposters!!! I was adding big time on the 15th May when the SP was under 18p. I even added another £20k @ 23p on the 13th July. Well done all. Enjoy the ride. Atb. Popeye
