RE: An explanation on what is happening12 Oct 2021 11:54
mountainous - I have totally disagree. Mooky and investor relations have no control over the SP in any shape or form. As to what Mooky and investor relations will allow, they have no alternative but to like it and lump it!!! I was suprised when the SP touched 84p, which was an absolute gift to exit, and I'm not in the least bit suprised to see the SP back to where it was a few weeks ago. As for the hedge funds, they have the upper hand and hold all the cards, and will continue to increase their positions, as they have done recently. Some of the short positions have been opened as low as 62p. The catalyst you talk of, has already occurred in the Bond film, hence the price spiked to 84p. I fully appreciate and understand people talking up their investments and positions, but I think a little rationale and realism is called for also. The company needs to move some of that debt off the balance sheet. It's a nigh on impossibility for them to trade out of the current scenario, therefore they will need to do a raise, which in my opinion would not be too detrimental to shareholders. Obviously with a raise shareholders will be diluted significantly, but would then be invested in a company that could service It's debt. Presently Cineworld are servicing debt with debt, as per the most recent accounts. Good luck. Atb Popeye.
