Personally I think there are buyers already lined up and rather akin to an old western movie waiting to see who"draws" first. So imho and it is only that,the first sign of gas to surface at TE9 will start the bar fight....but then again here speaketh the person who thought we might sell/get an offer on seismic alone!

B.....ogif not sure how your scenario protects us shareholders. granted they are shareholders also but perhaps on an early sale they will have the option to remain as active participants as will schlum. The point i'm trying to make is either we sell on seismics at an agreeable price or if not we drill and we as Pi's take the risk and receive the rewards( if successful). I see not benefit to us in JP agreeing a "POSSIBLE" price on success to another party on a success case. If we end up taking the risk let a feeding frenzy ensue to our benefit.

Yogurt,logical but the problem I have with that is that it doesn't de-risk us PI's as if all drills fail I can't see a buyer agreeing to be locked into any sort of pre drill price that benefits us. And from the buyers point of view I dont think JP can account for enough shares to 100pct being able to guarantee deliverying the company if a bidding war breaks out as don't PI's account for just over 50pct?

Ok , here we go. I am with you BLuboyz. I think we are waiting for seismics to be completed (though believe enough done already to satisfy a "buyer on seismics" and/but more importantly GSA will be the catalyst for an approach. I mean JP has already said on many occasions that finding a buyer is not a problem it is finding one at the right price. If you flip that argument around and look at it from a buyers point of view collectively "they" must know the level of interest so surely one might take the risk to get in first as surely they have better chance of succeeding on obtaining sou pre drill rather than after(if successful) when the world and his dog will be prepared to enter the fray when the drill of TE9 (again if successful) has been completed.It boils down(imo) if a predator is prepared to take the risk pre-drill, rather like us Pi's but the difference is if we want to see any sort of value we are somewhat locked in at the current sp..........
