The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Oh when you start mining the poly you will know all about dust. Lol
I take it that finger is pointing at me again, look i think your project it ambitious, massive, awesome, immense and once you have hit the good stuff lucrative and i beleive in it, what I have trouble with is the production figures and the forecasted Billion pound profit. I know GC and iI have the up most respect for the man.
We might do, yours is bigger than ours :)
That BBC report is quite old now, search poly on YouTube.
No I'm not a basher, I 100% want it to work for everyone.
I agree 100%, that's why they have a plan B with Boulby, I can't say what it is but if you do your homework you will find out what it is.
You can have 20 skips, you have to cut the mineral first.
Well obviously I'm interested in your massive project, I invested because people on here can really talk the talk and make it sound achievable, remember the £1 club?
You can't really compare yourself against us until you overcome the problems we have encounterd and start hitting the big production targets your expecting, you can then give me I told you so !
Some of our machinery is let's say in a used condition but we have a good overhaull/maintenance system in place where one of our miners are always I dry dock getting serviced, they might be better than you think also we have a brand new Joy miner arriving soon.
As for ICL, everyone at Boulby beleives ICL will own your mine eventually
Fair play, I apogise to any ladies who I might have offended, But I do know about mining poly and how hard it is to handle, it seems whenever anyone says how hard going it is there's a few keep to get personal, I've been a miner for 35 years and I've seen alor of things, poly for allot or reasons is far the most challenging.
Just wondering how many investors on here know what Additional Mining Procedures are and how if affects production ?
And there's a few knob ends on here who I Bet has never even seen Poly but know everything about it because they have read a leaflet, I've been buying SM shares for over 3 and a half years, probably longer than most on here so your not in a position to judge,
Not hiding my buddy just optimistically waiting for some good news, as the rest of you,
Longtermminer,
I must say I have said things on here similar to yourself, I agree getting to the poly is the biggest challange to date, getting the poly out is another entirely different problem. We cut and blast at Boulby and have other technique were developing which seems to be productive, we have 4 developed production districts and were struggling to get 70,000t per month. Support work is a slow process, were looking to mesh the roof at the same time as the primary supports are set. Please note I'm not a "deramper" I just know how hard poly is to work with, I Also know how much ICL not Boulby gets for a ton of minnies and it's a lot more than I've seen anyone quote on here.
I won't have anywhere near as many shares you most of you have, I like a bit of banter with some of you boys and now the reality has kicked in I'm gutted for everyone its effected and the workers at the sites . I have bought and for myself and for my daughters future investment, just under 200K bought in lumps over the last 3 and a half years, It's all on me but I probably bought more than I would have reading the very overoptimistic any upbeat opinions on this site, I made the mistake in to thinking it couldn't go wrong. I've wrote money off now, so I'm going to leave it where it is, nothing to lose really.
I prey for some good news to relieve the pain of you guys.
It's mad just how many different opinions there are, I've been buying shares in SM for over 3 years and bought shares for my daughter as a future for her investment just bought some more this morning thinking it lowers my average price, I don't know which way to turn ! It's good to watch you guys opinions.
Yes were in a national park ??
yeah your right but in 2020, projected 2.1m up and rising
Put a offer in for Boulby, convert both shafts to return air and rock shafts to hoist your big tonnage, Sink just one shaft at Woodsmith for man riding and air intake. temporarily or permanently forget the long conveyor tunnel.
You will receive a revenue as Boulby are already producing up by 70000t per month and the south east of the mine is less than 10km from your site.
Not gloating brother, Ive actually bought 25000 shares out of my daughters savings for a future investment, I beveled it would come good, i merely pointed out 3 weeks ago theres allot of unforeseen challenges mining polihalite and its hard going and i got ripped to shreds. I've wished the good luck all along but the tonnage SM were hoping for could be overoptimistic and got ripped for it.
DGR another know it all, your a boring keyboard warrior. I don't need to explain to you my friend, go cry on someone elses shoulder
DGR, get your head out your ass, i have 150000 shares, im as gutted as the rest and I hope it will pull around, In not gloating.
