The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Depends on one's timeframe but if you bought this share 1 year ago you'd be up around 40% (today that is! Could be back to 0% next week).
Really, how low can this share go for a newbie buyer? No such thing as a dead cert but a good chance of some kind of sale over next few months.
I see Big Jim is still promoting Master Investor, but he's stopped writing his market commentaries. I may go this year just to hear about his latest plant-based AI lithium mining German property startup.
This is a good share for new buyers. Who knows what will happen but it seems a sale is in the works. There is little downside coming in at this price., if it retraces to 15p then still not much of a loss. For long term holders, it's obviously been a frustrating ride. Calibre surely the main buyer here and the issue is the price.
I've been away from this share for a while. The main thing which has bought me back in is the fact Calibre have completed an acquisition, so they are now able to dedicate more resource to potentially buying Condor. I also agree it's at a relatively low price overall; a lot of money has been pumped into this company down the years.
Yes on the back of that video it is impossible to see how Calibre will not bid for Condor. But I'm not sure how well capitalised Calibre is - didn't he mention 60 million in cash - so a deal would probably involve some paper in Calibre.
I imagine Calibre may have made a very low ball offer which JM has not accepted.
Surely big jim has had enough of condor now.
My as uneducated guess as ever is the potential buyers are bidding low and MC is trying to bridge the gap in respective valuations.
I just can't see them going to plan b surely mc and big Jim has had enough of it unless big Jim has really been gobbling up the life expectancy vitamins!
I still think the non binding offers are probably far too low. Condor setting its stall out now with the chairman penning a few words.
As below chinese companies won't bid the price up so they need another non Chinese bidder to play ball.
This all comes down to listening to the last MC presentation when he got animated when discussing how JM is not going to sell this for nothing.
In the meantime price of gold may have a bigger correction due to interest rate rises by the Central banks. So looking rather negative compared to March.
