@winnie, what questions are you asking here, I'm confused.
You have posted the same question on here multiple times. I gave you an opinion, its only my, what I would like to think was an informed opinion, and you come back with then why is it priced so cheaply.
Well, because its a new company that has come from nowhere and its now establishing itself as a major player in this market, in the space of approx 18 months from when the shares were penny's.
It's going to go on to be a leading diagnostics company IMO.
What's your view ?

I'd like to think that that would be the best path forward. Novacyt aren't there to do the research to identify the genes involved in the cancer process, thats upto other pure clinical research labs, but once identified Novacyt are there to develop a test to find it

If you take Thermo Fisher, their current map is $216 bill.
Now this is a long term behemoth with many many more strings to its both, but it started somewhere.
I'd rate novacyt R&D on a par with any of the big major players, if not better.
And they are expanding rapidly from a stable core business with good steady revenue already.
The PCR market is only going to get bigger, much bigger over the coming decade or so, with novacyt being in the Premier league, despite their size, of players.
Even if you say that the PCR market makes up a 100th of TF MCAP, then that equivalent would value nova, AT THIS STAGE, MCap, circa $2bill, which is only going to grow over time as the instrument and test catalogue grows.

This is the kind of testing, I'd like to see Novacyt doing more of. Sadly, its a trillion $ global, open ended market.
If they could do what they've been doing leading in the covid market, in the oncology market, sky's the limit. For example, TP53 (an anti cancer gene) testing by thermo Fisher costs $1500, per test, currently

I've probably got the name wrong but its the same stuff. After the NHS was resupplied with PROmate, they have burned thru that already, novacyt refused to supply replacements because of the dispute. The recent 4.7 million order was just to get replacement stock moving again, which the NHS was crying out for. That won't last long, so its probably just an interim arrangement.
I'm in no doubt that things will be sorted out in due course and it will be a mutually acceptable compromise. Pretty sure Novacyt won't have to pay any cash back, if they do have to make any recompense anything it will be delivered via additional product.
The NHS want our products, the staff like them and they can be used for many different applications other than Covid.
Personally now, I've got no concerns whatsoever about this dispute

I'm pretty sure the disputes origins are around the replacement of SNPsig kits for PROmate after it was found to be impractical for use in a busy General microbiology lab.
Bottom line is that it SNPsig was signed off by the TVG as fit for purpose for NHS use. Novacyt then provided the required kits (lots of it), this then had to be replaced with PROmate.
Which has worked like a charm since. So I think they will be arguing over payment for the replacement promate.
I'm think a grown up compromise will be reached and maybe additional promate will be supplied but pretty sure any monies owing will be paid. Its all golden from here

@kaeren, couldn't agree more tbh.
There are so many ppl on here that clearly don't understand the potential of this technology. Frankly, I find some of the posts a little embarrassing, it screams ignorance, yet they seem to think they know everything, they don't.
This isn't a COVID stock, it never has been IMO, they just leveraged their experience and know how to apply it to a new market and benefitted from it.
The R&D department, as far as I can see, is the best in the world in this field.
Yes, there are other companies in this arena and they are much, much bigger but none of them have the capability of novacyt. I'd hate for them to be bought out now they are on the cusp of being probably the best company, in the world in this sphere, I wish them well and GM too, he's earned his money and now should enjoy his retirement

I never predict future prices but, after a rough period, I'm more than happy with where we are atm, still well under water but that will change. Sit and hold

@BYP one of the first things I checked before investing was what other areas they had developed products for. I've said it before but the potential areas
and markets for this technology is almost limitless.
Since I invested at the beginning of the year this has been enhanced even further by the development of a lab in a case.
This means, for instance in could operate in the wilds of Africa if required, that might come in handy for any Ebola outbreaks.
Its not just human infectious diseases either, animal pathogens, foot and mouth testing on site.
Environmental testing, water testing.
I'd love to see more developments in oncology but that can be a little more difficult development than other testing. So glad to see them developing low hanging fruit such as antimicrobial resistance, low development costs, maximum profit.
I'm a LTH and think the prices we are seeing now will be laughable in a 5 yr+ timescale

@kitzie, im inclined to agree, the fact that DHSC have placed another central contract for promate speaks volumes.
As they are now on the approved suppliers list for the NHS, labs could have just placed individual orders as they do for most consumables.
Perhaps DHSC are just trying to secure guaranteed supplies for the oncoming winter for the NHS.
I'm pretty sure we are near resolution of the dispute now in fact, I thought that would have been announced with the latest RNS, the additional info I alluded to in a previous post was related to the new contract, so was surprised to see that a resolution wasn't included in the RNS.
I think, in many ways, it may have done Novacyt a favour, they have had to pull their finger out and grow sales in the non NHS market, which, tbf, they have done with aplomb
We are no longer dependent upon 1 main buyer, we are growing sales globally and rapidly developing new products that are ahead of the curve, in terms of anticipated new challenges.
I'm very, very happy with where we are sitting now, I'm at an average just under a tenner and am taking a 5 to 10 year view. I'm more confident than ever that I'll see a healthy return over that time frame.

@B2H, I hope that doesn't happen tbh. Their best attribute is their ability to respond to changes almost before ppl know its an issue. They are so dynamic and get products to market in ridiculously short time compared to bloated rivals.
That said, I'm an investor, not an employee, if we get a good offer I'm sure it will go through.
Time will tell, I guess. I'd rather they carried on doing what they are doing as no one else, including massive diagnostics companies come anywhere near to their agility
