Boris has already mentioned LFDs and that resulted in repeated speculation it was Awacta. It wasn’t. But yes, any mentions of antigen testing and LFDs even if not in the same sentence should be ramped to high heaven.

Basically they’re not 100% accurate. But we knew that. Roche based their initial 100% claim on 8 people. They followed up the same claim based on just 29 of over 5000 samples. Abbott changed the minimum time period out to 15 days to gain their 100%.

The truth will out. In ‘a few weeks’ Awacta will be out there selling stuff and at that point it can’t be ignored by the market. It’ll be very interesting to find out the detail behind the commercials of these deals that we’ve been told by Sir Al are very good.

Look at the charts - Covid is still rampant. Just because you’ll soon be able to go to Primark again doesn’t mean this is over. Just because New Zealand, an island on the outskirts of the Pacific Ocean have no cases having completely socially isolated from the rest of the planet doesn’t mean this is over. The first wave isn’t finished and we’ve still no idea if/when we’ll see a second wave as restrictions are eased ahead of scientific advice and as we move towards winter.

Even if we think it’s all fine, there’ll still be a huge clamour for Awacta’s LFD to track and trace the cases we still have, to enable opening borders without quarantine and to stockpile in preparation.

I’m skint, but I’d suggest if you believe sentiment is against us due to ignorance, that’s the perfect time to buy. There is still huge global demand for testing.
