Track and trace, in its current guise is based on self reporting and then putting a bunch of people that don’t necessarily need to be in to isolation. Being able to dish out tests as part of it and having an app to self report would be good enough.

A link with Abingdon would give a great market leading combo, but you can imagine the privacy brigade getting excited, does it go on your health record, that’s personal information etc etc.

The main thing is the huge benefits in greatly reducing the r value quickly where there are outbreaks. Further tech tie ups and the use for getting back to genuine normal will emerge over time.

The dewamping comment was a scenario that is outside of my control as a LTH, personally I’m not interested in taking any risks trading. The fundamentals will come through, if there’s wobbles on the way due to short term profit taking, then good luck to them, as you’ve said we’re all here to make cash. For me, I think I’ve picked a winner, I’d rather just sit back stress free and watch the re-rate happen.

As for MM turning up, I’d be as cynical as ever. The 20m tests wasn’t one of his previously modelled scenarios and so just a blatant ramp. But that’s something else I ignore, again, we’re all here to make cash so good luck to him too.

There’s been a shift in the testing conversation towards antigen testing over the past month or so. They’ve now explicitly said it and given a target number, with a 24 hour turnaround, and a date they want it in place. It just seems obvious that once our test is available you’ll have Bojo stood at a plinth proudly declaring they’re now able to absolutely smash their target and even better give a result in minutes.

The UK govt will want to buy everything we can initially produce. I’m looking forward to hearing about manufacturing partners as that’s when we’ll start to get a sense of just how phenomenally astronomical this opportunity is.
