Some weird posts on here recently. First the morality of Awacta making money, now this. If you’re against animal testing, you’re invested in the wrong company I’m afraid.

Yes, strange how this article gets hidden as a Leicestershire local new story, compared with the previous front page efforts. The beeb also aren’t running with the story regarding Boohoo calling out the govt. The bottom line is that the media/papers are now desperately running out of any mud to throw and are scraping the barrel. The tide is definitely turning, fewer rehashed negative stories and now some positive stories with the director buys, court settlements and Boohoo going on the offensive which I think is a huge and genius move. Meanwhile, fundamentals are strong. All looking good.

Sir Al described having multiple shots at goal and this was one of them, it looked like a potential screamer, but it looks like it’s whistled over the bar. It wasn’t a waste of time, it was worth a shot. Getting in the uni to verify it was also a good idea and it briefly highlighted to the big boys that we’re here. I’m not expecting it to happen now, I’d be delighted if it did, but it feels like advances elsewhere, including our own tests, will overtake us.

Completely disagree. Making a ton of cash in the short term does absolute wonders for the long term goals. The long term goals of Awacta are curing cancer. Quite laudable, but bear in mind they’ll also make a healthy profit if they manage to do that.

I completely agree, you read of other test manufacturers proudly talking of their high margins. Sir Al’s job is to maximise shareholder value. If the govt want to subsidise that’s their prerogative, but we shouldn’t be shy of making as much money as we can and let market forces dictate the rest.

Vegas, I considered pointed out his obvious financial illiteracy but decided I couldn’t be bothered. He’s not far removed from Global on the white noise stakes, I certainly haven’t forgotten the time when he sold and started deramping, quite the scumbag and look, quite the moron to boot.

That’s also true according to the trading statement that was released. I tend to trust the company RNSs over a persistent deramper, but that’s just me.

Great post, admire the conviction. Just a tiny detail, optigene is not an antibody test. It does have 24 hour turnaround though as it’s lab based, so of no concern once Awacta steps up.

Why would Optigene have to have a pop up on the front of their website stating that their test kits aren’t an LFD or designed to be used by the public? :-)

Turner Pope absolutely love them. I’d imagine a few quid with each one would certainly give SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDER RETURNS. Unquantifiable according the Turner and his sidekick Pope. They’ve not even tried. It’s that much money they literally can’t add it up.
