Nice one Spike, great find. All makes sense, it’d be a shame to complete the validation and then both parties sitting down to sort commercials. Much better to get everything ready so that if the test is as good as claimed it’s all systems go as soon as it’s validated. In order to make commercial decisions you’d need to know what manufacturing capacity to help determine the order size. It’s all pointing to a huge RNS full of all the detail we’re after.

That’s the nail you’ve just bopped on the head Woody. It’s not been tactic that could have previously been considered by governments but were now at a stage where these tests are emerging. The downside is more competition, but the plus side if we end up with both ease of use and high performing then that market share will come to us.

Woody, watch the video, it’s about frequency of testing and stopping people that are infectious spreading it. 50% still has a chance of stopping a good proportion of infected people leaving the house. The FDA 80% is a decent benchmark to aim for, the video suggests getting anything out there and using it frequency can make a difference. He’s right. But...

That said, if you pause it at 8 mins, he’s coloured in the orange section. That’s great and he’s right, but it misses all the people that fit in the rectangle beneath it down to the green line. What you actually want, and this is where Klaus bounds in, is both... 80% is good, 90% is incredible. 95%+ is unbelievable. You want a rapid AND high performing test, then the orange line on the chart is lower and you have a testing regime that’s incredibly effective at stopping the vast majority of infectious people transmitting it.

I’d be delighted to see an RNS saying optimisation is complete and we’re moving to validation. No more. No less. No numbers. Given the previous communication and hints, knowing that Klaus is happy would be enough to know we’ve got the best possible test that will serve its purpose and therefore good enough to get to market and sell in the millions.

That’s quite a random and specific number to quote without some knowledge and who else could it be? We’ve been looking and haven’t found anyone, so that leaves us. 8m a day would be a cracking start, let’s say 50m a week to keep things simple. We’ve no clue on margins but even a couple of quid gives £100m a week on the bottom line. 12 months worth... £5bn anyone? That’s seems a bit ridiculous.

No idea why anyone is still pandering and humouring this bore. There’s no point, he’ll just pop up with another negative thread for a bit more attention. If you have to, then agree with him, soothe him, placate him, he’s like an angry toddler. Aaaaw diddums, did the nasty company take a teeny weeny bit too long to produce ‘the best’ test? There there.... yawn.

I don’t think your guess will be enough to swing a multi million pound deal over the line sadly. It looks like good progress is being made with various mixes of antibodies that could then help those that need it most. There’s just no need for a large pharma to take a risk with a bunch of cash at this stage. I’m not holding my breath for the therapy, obviously delighted if a deal does turn up.

Just having a bit more of a read... this bit was interesting...

Sir Al said they’ve agreed to validate the LFD. So, he wasn’t lying when he said ‘the test strips detect the spike protein in model samples at concentrations within the clinical range’. That was just the pre-optimised version. If we’ve got a pre-optimised LFD that *works well*, I’m fairly sure by the time Klaus has rung the life out of it we’ll soar (pun intended) through Condor validation with impressive results.

News could land any day. Gulp.

If you ignore the BAMS bit (like the market) it’s actually a cheeky little gold nugget. We were told a good while ago the BAMS test was ready for validation and it’s taken this time to get that sorted. Imagine the moaning if we’d finished optimisation and then we were sat a month waiting to start validation. Basically as soon as Klaus gets out the party poppers we can progress quickly without delay. It’s good news and a key milestone, hidden as a footnote.

Perhaps the govt are reluctant to sign up for PCR testing as they know there’s an LFD on the way that would be perfect.

Wow! It’s storming, it was wobbling around 9 last time I looked. They’ve moved from about 2.5-3 before the initial results of their (inferior swab) test, so getting on for 4 times. Shows what can happen here... 4 times 1.30... a fiver on the test S&S, that was always my thought.

Chengdo called it, there’s just no point. AW won’t stop and part of his entertainment is obviously continuing pointless debates, there’s never going to be any rationale behind any of it. Pop him in the bin. He’ll still be bleating and moaning when we’re £49.99 because we haven’t hit JRs target.
