To add a vaguely sensible comment to this thread. It's an absolute disgrace the way the govt have abused diagnostic companies that have disrupted their businesses in an effort to help. I feel sorry for ODX holders (not all of them of course) and especially for ABDX holders (as I'm one of them).

Indeed, but it also brings challenges as you need different affimers for different variants. I prattled on about this ages ago in that we can make numerous tests and supply the most appropriate by market based on dominant strains. However, is that how it would work? As affimers are so teeny weeny, can you slap on a soup of different ones and provide a test that works for all? Either way we have a distinct advantage, but having one test that finds all would be a huge global winner.
