My post the other day alluded to them (probably quite illegally, and DEFO to grease govt palms) preferring to sell to a local Indian company rather than see it go overseas.

Your strategy here covers most if not all the bases….

At this point nobody, not MB, not LCM and certainly nobody on this board knows how this will play out or what the reaction of the goi will be.

So far, I think we are in agreement on here that we are confident of a positive outcome be it in the low 100m or over a couple of bill for bhukia alone.

That’s the beauty of the game… with the number of theories of time taken and amount, somebody on here is right about at least a part of it. I’m sure we will get ‘told you so’ when the time comes.

Notice that the status of some of the auctions are on hold due to litigation… which I suspect bhukia might be… suggests that this is part of the game, and maybe just putting the flag up to see what offers come in…

I’m 1000% sure LCMs chaps are all over this.

Timing wise, if it appears on this auction list in the next month it certainly ties in with a three month response time to our notice letter.

Hope to see some action here in the next month for sure…

Looks like quite a few people took a small stake on Friday, Gallmat… mostly buys and some half decent ones.

These are cheap today… hands down the back of the sofa time….

For sure whenever volatility of serious magnitude hits a companies value (up or down) then I’ve seen trading halts happen to AIM shares to enable the market to set its stall out. I don’t think major rerates both ways are unusual on here.

If they just go into auction it’ll be super exciting!

Either way, let’s be honest, a major rerate looks like it’s only going one way…

I’m totally inclined to agree with you! At the end of the day, I’ve held this for going on 4 years already, averaged down to 7p and am happy to sit and add here and there at these levels.

Feeling totally confident, and find this board a pleasant place to be. Once things start happening, I’m not looking forward to the arrival of the noise and the disrupters, but hope to have made a few quid and be on a free ride by then so I can switch off…

Whatever happens, I wish the people here right now the best of luck. Looking good to me…

Sorry jmuk. I re-read what you said, and I agree it’s not a quick process. Looks like back in 2009 the average time of arbitration was about 3.6 years! But it appears to have sped up since then. Looking at the rules for the icsid which came into effect in 2022, it could be two years if everything is drawn out to the max, but we should see some regular updates through the process at least every 1-2 months.

Fingers crossed lcm can cross t’s and dot i’s to speed it up.

Their words, not mine: Under the Treaty, an arbitral tribunal is to be constituted within two months of delivery of the notice of arbitration.

Agree news on any award will be likely quite a bit longer, and payment of any award longer still. But the expectation is written as those words in the RNS’s. You think that’s rubbish?

Yeah @deck et al. Just been back through the rns’s and 1st quarter defo means jan to march.

They refer to when the notice was sent to India and was 4th quarter of 2023 (I know it was 1st jan, but the wording they use is specific… although they i suppose could be 28 days early for the 4th quarter of their financial year, it seems unlikely).

As a reminder on timescales:

Indo Gold Pty Ltd ("IGPL") is now preparing to deliver a notice of dispute to the Government of India. This notice is anticipated to be delivered to the Government of India in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Following the delivery of the notice of dispute and in the absence of any meaningful correspondence in relation to this matter from the Government of India or if no amicable settlement is reached, IGPL will subsequently deliver a notice of arbitration to the Government of India. Any such notice of arbitration is anticipated to be delivered to the Government of India in the first quarter of 2024. Under the Treaty, an arbitral tribunal is to be constituted within two months of delivery of the notice of arbitration.

So by that I think news on size by end of march and arbitration hearings done and dusted by end of may…

If you want to top up, @ed, I’d shift your timescales to before end of feb to be safe… it is a leap year so you get an extra day!
