Oh, and truly excellent work this week, team!

I’ve defo furthered my understanding of where we are and remain super confident we are in a good place.

Thx for all the effort in researching, and giving well thought out opinion, as well as contacting all and sundry for clarification of our findings.

Not known another board like this is at the moment.

@prof his LinkedIn profile says public international law partner at hogan Lovells. Also says he is a member of the ICSID panel of arbitrators… which is why he’s doing this I guess.

I also wonder if his initial advice is to down tools on site….

I'm pretty sure in a previous interview he said along the lines of we can submit at any time really, but you only get the opportunity to submit once, and you have have to be confident that your maths add up (i.e. if you go for too much you are taking the proverbial, and if you ask for too little then you're missing a trick.).

I've got in my head his timeframe was about December to submit this and the interview on teh 14/10 seemed to go along with this timeline too.

Interesting he said GreenX were trading about 20% of their claim value during arbitration and that our claim was suggested to be 'at least as big' as theirs... Seemed very put out that we were trading at the level we were...

I was thinking about this though.... If you were the GOR and expecting the value to you to be 9bn sterling over 50 years, maybe a one off payment would sting .... possibly too much..... and maybe they will try to negotiate a series payments that ties in with their income. Say 1bn over ten years or something like that. The PAT becomes a cash shell that just pays dividends... Mark moves on to the next company in need and we all invest there!

For sure this can't be based on a % or what they receive as they've already shown they can't be trusted partners.

Given the choice of 1bn over ten years or 400m today, I know what I would take. Others in different circumstances may think differently.

I would really look forward to any responses to the mails various people sent out to various parties yesterday to shed any further light on this new situation (although I appreciate PAT may see it as a sideshow to where we actually stand, and consider this news as not material to their claim so no RNS or opinion).

Either way, I think strongly that the whole shebang will be sped up on this news. And I hope it is for the people on the ground there so they can get some prosperity.

No. You mean today’s? I don’t think that’s a court order, I think that’s a govt order as they’ve realised (as others here have speculated) they’ve messed up by auctioning the site and they are now cee-rapping themselves about our claims being of merit and them forging ahead with a resolution with us.

Time will tell… I’m feeling good about them pausing though…. The pressure will be on to resolve… I’m almost tempted to nail my colours to the mast of receiving a pre-arbitration offer…

To be honest, im just happy to see things moving forwards positively. Im in no rush to withdraw my holding and am very happy with both the comms from the company as well as the titbits from this forum.

I would like to see the price move up though. If only to stop me keep chucking more cash in here at what i think is a super low price... i checked my history and i remember happily buying chunks in the 4's... i doubt we will see those prices again.

@nelson, I agree, and I think the GoR would feel let off the hook at that… I still think mark will be claiming 1.7 -2.5bn, but tbh anything north of 500m and I’d move on with a spring in my step.

I have literally zero clue how lcm/faskens/mark et al will come up with a figure to claim!

the state’s cut of 65% they reckon is worth 9 billion pounds over 50 years valuing the mine at 13bn pounds jotting it on the back of a *** packet. they must have got those figures from somewhere, but it doesn’t state where in the article.

Given the statement that the whole regions industry is linked to this mine producing, I doubt they will want to tie up progress for a 3-5 year period whilst the arbitration plays out.

It means the goi is listening and it’s on the table now…

Hi @Borrell. There was a Times Of India article which valued Bhukia at over 1bn US quite a few years ago now. Since there there has been a suggestion of a resource update that dwarfs the information they used to come to that amount.

Added to that interest and the crazy deal that the new owners are paying to the GOI (Gov of india) to secure the mining licence (about 64% of mined gold value goes to them!), and I would suspect that our claim should be north of 1bn US and my gut says that it would be about 1.7ish....

But I'm neither a mining expert nor a litigation expert.... I'm basing that on the clues left by our CEO and the various interviewers and commentators in the various interviews that there have been.

TBH, I can't see it at less than 500m UK, but it should all become clear by the years end... The CEO suggests that the claim size will be revealed in December....
