AG1980, my thoughts too although I didn't want to suggest a new current test-wipeout variant would provide a golden AVCT ticket. What they could do in the interim is do what AGL have done (No apologies); Offer the product free (or at cost) for demonstration purposes to a company (or two) or other potential users who could validate Avacta's efficiency / high quality and hopefully place a resulting order, thus setting the ball rolling. The key would lie in who they place it with in order to maximise the resulting publicity.

Give or take a week or so.

Don't forget the likely duration of any lengthy court case in the event of that. That won't help any wannabe competitors.

I'm with redwineday in the belief that you get what you pay for. Pointless post really on my part but I've just got a very good gut feeling about the product, this CEO and what the US sales team will achieve under his stewardship. I'm just really comfortable with what feels like a company that seems to have been slightly 'Sleepy Hollow' up until now but one that's looking to instill some real commercial drive at just the right time. Like I said, "really comfortable" with this.

Yesterday's surprise Conservative by-election loss should be taken as a warning shot across their bows. As a traditional Conservative leaning voter who now holds no shares but who has closely followed Avacta and the wider Innova LFT debacle, the way the govt has behaved here and their behaviour has been totally unacceptable. We are not stupid.

"This government" and many others around the world? 'Global politics' where many of our supposed leaders are concerned has become an absolute and highly embarrassing joke. Other than Merkel I cannot think of any statesperson-like individuals who behave in any way other than we might have expected in the playground in decades past. Today's Cumming's revelations are absolutely pathetic in my view and merely confirm what most of us already knew; our political hierarchy of all persuasions is unfit for purpose. Where will it all end?

Guys, I've been following this govt LFT debacle with interest and notice, rightly or wrongly, that most of the press coverage seems to be in the right wing media. Has anyone written to elements within the Labour Party because I would have thought they'd love to get their teeth into this. I write as a traditional Tory but one who has been disgusted by this whole Innova saga.

Avacta, a firm from Yorkshire, has produced the highest quality LFT which has taken ages to get accepted by govt agencies. The UK govt has spent billions on a US firm / chinese made test which is effectively described as useless by the FDA in the US.

ElderlyBird, be delighted to see your specific evidence to back-up that statement if it is not just down to your own opinion or agenda?

I'd be tempted to go for The Mail, Sun and Guardian, all of whom would be interested. One thing is for sure, the govt won't just roll over as the repercussions are potentially embarrassing.
