After reading all of your contributions to this board. Step back and have a think...your parents must be very proud of you.

I think it's time to step back from this board for time being as it's becoming tiresome. Little point in contacting ARSO as we were informed on Friday from one of our 'knowledgeable regular poster's' that they had contacted ARSO themselves and the permits had been issued. It's the same with the so called ' responses from Colin' speal. Why some people have an agenda to appear somewhat informed is beyond me. I'll await the next RNS instead.

I don't think there's really any mystery to the sp movement today? The last RNS stated that the BOD believed that the IPPC may be granted in next few weeks. Somebody has done their research & now that we are reaching a critical point and made a 3M share purchase. Once again, as is the norm with this share a number of people have traded it to gain a small percentage, hence the drop.

I think this pattern will continue, whatever news occurs - I'm holding off for AST to be taken out entirely with a sp suspension!

Ec- not for you to sit on thesidelines!!😂😂😂. I think ARSO have already approved this & it is now sitting on a Minister's desk for approval. Probably worth investing again tomorrow if price is right. My lingering doubt was Colin stating to us that some companies held a long term view where the permits weren't essential... Still no offer that we are aware of??

Given today's worldwide dip I'm tempted to buy further but despite the BOD's unwillingness to i invest previously I'm wondering why either INA or Petrol haven't shown their hand??? I don't know if anybody has an opinion & I'll decide in the morning. On the real plus side I've learned a valuable lesson to not invest where you're relying on politicians! Slovenia are obviously oblivious to the message their politicians send out to potential investors!!!

As per usual there posters who matter of factly give their opinion of what the sp will be! There is evidence of oil in the ground & we have no idea how much. A number of parties have spent many months going over data and who knows what it has revealed. Perhaps people should stop speculating on how low the sp will be and wait until we are informed.

If that is the case then it demonstrates the weakness of the leadership and general lack of respect for them! A strong credible leadership would have the industry knowledge to know what is achievable.

Ast have missed virtually every deadline stated so one would naturally ask...why do they keep getting it wrong???

Despite what Colin stated, nothing really got moving until pi's took matters into their own hands with ARSO. Colin makes a statement and then nothing happens for months. Virtually every deadline posted over the last few years has been missed - it is shareholders that have suffered. It goes without saying...be sceptical about a business where the Directors do not invest their own money in. At least I've learned a valuable lesson there.

While I fully appreciate that Colin H is dealing with a number of issues, many beyond his control I find it staggering how oblivious he is to the fact that his actions affect the sp. The majority of funding to pay his wages comes from pi's and there seems very little sensitivity to the money people are losing. He and the BOD earn staggering amounts of money and seem to have very little regard for shareholders.

Once again, we are within hours of missing yet further deadlines - while I appreciate that pi's should think before they approach ARSO, I wonder what would've happened if investors hadn't bombarded them previously. Can't blame people for protecting their investment because there is very little faith in the BOD.

Read the article with interest. I hope that guy realises he is in for a long wait! While I welcome Sophie Honey's involvement i fear that this may just be a photo opportunity for her. Arso are basically just re-examining data for the ippc which has already passed through the courts & once again it is taking an eternity. We are also in the midst of one of the longest ever SR's!

I fear any long term joint venture will still be weighed down by this beaurocracy in the future.

I'm wondering if the sp will rise for any length of time on issue of the permits? Despite all of the speculation regarding the strategic review and imminent issue of permits, the sp is not reacting accordingly.

I'm hoping for a full out takeover as I think I've been patient enough and can't wait to get out of here now.

I'm also thinking that ARSO are once again about to receive an avalanche of emails. It might help despite Colin claiming a while back that an emergency meeting had been scheduled anyway the last time pi's took control of matters!

It has always been my belief that Ast would eventually be taken over and it has been a frustrating journey up to now. Amid all the speculation regarding possible suitors the main conversation has been about the gas wells. We also have evidence that there is oil in the ground but for some reason this is hardly ever mentioned by the BOD, maybe deliberately?

On a different note, it makes me smile when I see the number of new posters on this bb, spouting doom & gloom and appear to have become experts on this share overnight!!

The wording of today's RNS gave the impression that the company has arranged this meeting!!! Woe betide if progress stalls as the BOD will once more feel the heat from investors again and again we'll add pressure ourselves.

Walters, thanks again for driving our efforts.

Once this company has been taken over I'm done with AIM with one possible exception where the BOD have invested significant cash themselves despite their options!!

Further astonishment that the wording of the RNS seemed to indicate that the company has somehow got this permit meeting arranged. A lot of shareholders are far from safety with their investment yet but if progress starts to slow down then at least we know we have power to push things if we channel out efforts.

Don't want to sound too negative but also wondering why 2 month timeframe has been introduced for permit issue? I'd like it sorting tomorrow!

Marineville. I get your point but Colin holds a very important position and is not up to the job. I wonder if anybody asks him if he thinks he should step down given the share price performance? How he will react if the financial press start looking into affairs? There is very little trust in any of the BOD at the moment and we have been told that things were progressing well and the board were happy until that RNS on Monday.H

Marineville...you should read the question. I've asked him how he is going to sort this in the short term. Regarding his personal investment - that speaks for itself and requires no explanation but I thought it may educate anybody who wasn't aware.

I have this morning submitted a question for the conference call and also pointed out my dismay at my last question neither being asked or acknowledged at last year's similar event. I suggest other members bombard yellow jersey demanding answers. My question specifically to Colin...

"Colin, can you acknowledge that many investors have invested significant sums, many linked to pensions that have fallen by 75% over the last few years. What will you be doing to address this in the short term and do you feel that your own personal share purchase of £5k (from a salary of nearly £200k) sends a strong message of confidence to other potential investors? "

I feel that these are reasonable questions to ask and Colin must now lead the business out of this catastrophy. I urge others to ask similar questions.

I agree. However, it is the action that sends a message to shareholders!

I'm not getting too down hearted yet - we could have the permits and an offer from a large player who sees the potential and has the capability in a short period of time.

Any serious buyer won't keep Colin on anyway.
