Thanks for the explanation. As I suspected in order to extract the gas, stimulation will be required.

As a holder a few years ago it was my understanding that the pressure does fall over time. After reading the RNS last week, I am of the opinion that AST are trying to prove a point to the Government by putting the two wells back into production, as when they were opened up a couple of years back, production fell to a trickle.

I am sure that one of the more knowledgeable posters can shed more light on this.

Hi. Just watching from sidelines now as I got out a while ago due to the activities of the Management. Colin Hutchinson once gave an interview to LSE midweek & quoted that the business didn't need to raise funds as news on permits was imminent. Low & behold on the Friday evening of the same week he launched a placing in region of 1.67p ( in old money). This was conducted after hours. The share price has continued to fall ever since. A fellow Director Clive Carver, contributed zero & is still presiding at Caspian Resources. Also avoid that one at all costs. I do know that both of these individuals are still on financial journalist's radars so they best be careful. Now AST have Parsons...Take a look at his CV & be v careful!!!

However, what I find staggering & has conveniently been forgotten...prior to the most recent dilution, when Colin Hutchinson was CEO, he stated on an interview to LSE that they didn't need to raise funds. Yet about 3 days later on a Friday evening, after hours, he did a raise at a price of 1.67! The price has fallen ever since & been further diluted. That is clearly misleading the market & he should be held to account even now!

The lack of interest is obvious...the BOD will reap the benefit of anything positive at the expense of shareholders!!

The company continue to display an amateurish style. Fancy sending out a corporate update on an RNS containing spelling mistakes!! Note the spelling of "following" in the first paragraph about Slovenia. ..

Colin Hutchinson gave an interview to LSE stating that AST didn't need to fundraise & yet within days, a placing was done out of hours at I believe 1.67p. Is that or is it not misleading people literally taking money from them? Investors sat through farcical investor calls & read numerous RNS's that weren't telling the truth. Look on the Caspian Board about Clive Carver? Same throughout - all the previous BOD did was look after Henderson's & lined their own pockets. It is a disgrace that they can get a job anywhere. This whole AIM arena is full of characters moving from one business to another & leaving a trail of destruction behind them. One look at Sound Energy & you see the same!

I'm not being negative or undermining the share price - in any other industry this would not go on. We pay CEO's more than £100k salaries & they achieve nothing. A CEO responsible for overseeing a share price with a 98% deficit should never work again!

Hi. I just had a look at this page out of interest. Funnily enough the name Clive Carter cropped up!! Check out Ascent Resources. Clive Carver & his CEO Colin Hutchinson performed a dramatic impact there (not a good one). I would suggest that everybody avoids any investment linked to these two. LSE continues to support them. Make your own mind up!!

I don't want to sound too negative as I still have a small holding here. I saw one interview with John Buggenhagen & recognised him for what he was. I recommend everyone gets out of this casino. Bring a spokesman in, hype up the share, raise more money, blame someone else, raise more money then disappear before moving to a new company. Over the last 5 years all this company & the majority of AIM has produced is hype. The salaries of these guys is unbelievable. Just move into FTSE & forget the hype here. I have however passed my feelings onto several senior journalists - whether they do anything is another matter. Without revealing names - a CEO who gives an interview on a certain website claiming the business does not require new funds, only to arrange a placing out of hours the following week, followed by a share crash needs investigating. Somehow the powers that be fail to see that there is anything wrong??

How anyone could suggest that this AIM market isn't rigged!! A financial journalist becoming part of a company he was previously charged with asking questions of??? Meanwhile, the previous BOD move into another feast & the next lot arrive to start the process again. Not one Director is held to account for a share price falling by 95%?? This whole episode is like some sort of scam which Directors simply market & present & all others turn a blind eye. Why won't anyone in authority hold these guys to account??

Ast is such a great opportunity that all of the BOD are going to invest their own money in the company & stop hiding behind excuses. After all, despite their expertise they all fail to recognise the glowing message that this sends out to investors!! Let's see some action & investment from the Board instead of words, fundraising & a declining share price!!

Thankfully I minimised my investment here a while ago. What I find incredible though is the lack of coverage by financial journalists of the goings on at AST. Despite assurances everyone seems to turn a blind eye to the performance of this company including LSE who show no credibility themselves. This AIM market seems like a club where a Director is brought in to whip up hysteria & then run fundraising campaigns to pay salaries. They then just move into another business & start again. This industry is like no other & the regulators are clearly not for for purpose.

Consistent lack of news, consistent poor management, consistent lack of integrity, consistent fall in share price... Never back a company where the whole management team won't invest themselves...

We were told CH was working on things & no result. I've done lots of credible research on Colin in last few weeks & it speaks volumes how a company would employ him in such a Senior position! And before you try the line of emotionally involved...fantastic achievement seeing a share price decline by 97% - why wouldn't anyone be emotional!!!???

That's all well and good but the Directors don't tell you anything. I have put together a couple of polite emails which have been ignored. That speaks volumes for how concerned the BOD are with investors. Despite all of the salaries that have been paid there is nothing to show for it and the share price performance speaks for itself. I can see why the Directors represent so many companies - I wonder what targets they actually set and work towards.

I have approached a number of high profile financial journalists highlighting this situation and the alleged corruption. Despite some acknowledgement I have noticed a barrier of silence. I feel that this may be due to the ongoing legal case - something will happen at some stage. The BOD are all like pigs in a trough. Despite their so called expertise, they have produced nothing apart from manufacturing a continual fund raising cycle to justify their existence. I'm sure that soon a journalist will flex their muscles and publicise what is going on. I also hold LSE accountable - their line of questioning and promotion also just helps to continue the cycle.
