Personally I would never advise as no share is a 100% safe, all depends on your risk/reward strategy and whether you can afford to lose the money you invest, if you can't then don't invest. Its waiting for EC approval for a drug which I personally think is already priced in but when it goes in to partnership to market the drug that is hopefully when there will be a jump. You can read the board but they are just a little to positive about it for my liking because as we all know things are never that easy. Cheers PP

Like most people I've got a couple of stinkers but the rest are okay, a couple of weeks ago bought in to PLE which is doing quite nicely, and that was me trying to keep away from AIM listed shares. So like all things some you win some you don't !!

Would be nice to here some positive news from Optare, I really thought after the agm that their was some positive news brewing, I've realised now that the only thing brewing was the tea in the next room. Will just have to remember the word patience.

Are we finally going to see some movement, preferably towards that 1.60 mark you have discussed as a fair price for this share.

Hi, no the 12.39 buy wasn't mine, I had a quick look through ADVFN this morning and it was showing 12.5 so I didn't bother and I still don't like the spread. It was only for a top up whilst its this low, still hold just over 30,000 shares, hopefully wont get another chance to top up would be nice to see this much nearer to its NAV. Cheers PP

Hi shareminator, I tried as low as 775 shares and it still quoted 12.39, it must have been down to the late surge with PLE, obviously the MM's didn't want to miss the opportunity of upping the price. Good luck with your holding. Cheers PP

the_sherminator think you will be very lucky now to buy at 12, tried earlier through TD and even though the ask was still 12 wouldn't let me buy any amount for less than 12.4. In hindsight that might still be a very good price but the spread a little large for me. Will try again in the morning in case there is a slight pullback on PLE even though I hope not as I am invested there to.

Hi CM, thanks for the information, unfortunately haven't been able to read it myself as the Times don't seem to do online unless you pay for it. But any kind of contract win is good news and as long as it carries on as 'nice and easy does it' I will be happy, I think as you have said before patience is the key. Cheers PP

Morning CHEQUEMATE, not quite as bad as I thought whatever RNS I read yesterday had said he sold 6 million shares to cover his liabilities, but today I read its only 2 million shares. Shame he didn't want to keep some of them to carry on showing long term faith in the company, but I suppose we all need large amounts of money now and again. Also it doesn't seem to have affected the share price that much. Hope it continues to be nice and steady Cheers PP

Great news but will it do anything to help our ailing share price.

Nothing has really changed its just wait and hope coupled with a lot of patience. As I think Ettienne pointed out the market is very flat and I also cant see at the moment where future orders will come from particularly exports. But in time probably next year and beyond, they have the staff in place and tenders out we should start to see orders come through. As I said before its patience, patience and more patience. If you cant afford to wait its probably best to get out, but as most people are down moneywise its a decision they will have to think hard about. cheers pp

Has anybody seen or read the Takeover Document, not had any luck locating it myself. Just wondering if there is any new or relevant information in it, also when would the takeover date be. Cheers pp

I think the key thing with this share is patience. They have quite a few very experienced guys in Europe and the rest of the world particularly in emerging economies putting out tenders also with the help of Ashok Leyland, from there hopefully we should start to see orders trickling in and then and probably only then once we have built a better reputation we should start to see better and bigger orders and a big jump in share price. Timeframe for that though is probably 12 to 18 months. So if you want to re-coup your money patience is the way.

Its a shame Optare's press agent aren't a little bit more efficient and liaise with other companies press departments/agencies and then they could release information at the same time. Which would keep us shareholders happy and not in the dark like usual. Cheers pp

Just wondering with some of you more experienced guys when is the best time to sell your shares, unless of course you already have, or like seannyday suggests is it best to wait until the 30th September or even a possible counter offer. Many Thanks

Yes I do feel more positive, and its certainly not a company that is any where near going under. I think we counted 45/50 vehicle in various forms of preparation and vehicles ready for delivery. Yes the board members did seem a little cagey and didn't want to reveal to much information about orders and exports. But I did have a feeling and its only a feeling that there could be a decent order soon or there's something in the pipeline what that will be I have no idea. But they do seem to have a strong foreign contingent so hopefully they will start to put that to good use and start getting us some good export orders. Do I think the share price is about to shoot up, no is the answer. Still think they have a reputation to improve and have a full set of tried and tested vehicles including the double decker and not rely on the under 8 tonne vehicle's. If the vehicles that are out to the big operators do well and we start to get some export orders then I do feel the future will be very good. Also with the electric vehicle's there seems to be a lot of interest but it is still early days. Lets all hope for those orders to keep rolling in. Cheers pp
