That's an interesting suggestion Daz. But then again, would right now be the right time to invest in that sort of project? With the current Coronavirus situation, how many EVs would be likely to roll up wanting to be charged up? How many EV cars are being sold right now? If I was considering a project like that, I would be inclined to put it on the back burner for now until I could better assess the short term future demand for EV charging.

And I suspect that Is how AFC's potential customers are looking at it as well. I don't think the lack of sales is the fault of AB in this situation, I believe that the decision not to sign off the orders and contracts lies with the companies and organisations who have car parks such as supermarkets, NCP, councils, etc. Some of them may have been at the point of committing to an order, but now they may be wondering when the requirement for EV charging is likely to arise again.

And it's a similar situation regarding the replacement of diesel generators. In the current situation I suspect that building contractors will have put any ideas about ordering AFC's gensets on the back burner for now. I don't think we can blame AB or anyone at AFC for that.

Tatty, the only take-over I'm aware of is the take-over of W2T by PHE. You seem to be referring to some other one?

In an interview on 24th March, DR stated that he expected the shareholders' circular (ref. PHE's takeover of W2T) to be issued in about 2 weeks, which would be imminent, which is why I suggested that it might be out sometime this week. Of course the current lock-down might cause a delay, or not.

It has crossed my mind that Peel might take a share of PHE during or after the takeover of W2T. I have no evidence whatsoever for this but it just occurred to me that it might make sense with MK now on the PHE board. It might also be a way to ensure that no one person owned 30% (or more) of the new PHE expanded group.

stokey, I'm sure they will be able to find a way around this for the EGM. AFC seem to be believe that they will be able to hold their AGM "by proxy" so perhaps PHE can do something similar. I'm hoping that the shareholders' circular will be issued some time this week.

I'm certainly not concerned about them as a competitor. I was just trying to understand their process.

Watching the lengthy Youtube video Im not entirely clear what their process is exactly, nor where the H2S comes into it, but it crossed my mind that it seems they are at a stage similar to where PHE was about 10 years ago.

TBH, I wouldn't get too hung up about a possible consolidation. Whether it happens or not, I don't believe that it will change our lives significantly either way.

I believe there are more important matters ahead in the near future. The issue of the shareholders' letter for a start, which DR indicated could be out next week. Then there's the EGM for the takeover approval, and if that goes through, there's the question of what Peel does next. Bear in mind that Myles Kitcher has just joined the BoD, and I'm sure he's not going to be there just to keep the seat warm.

Regarding the EGM, I note stokey's comments about the difficulties of holding an EGM in the current climate of travel restrictions and social distancing, and the difficulties of getting round that because of rules about holding AGMs. However I notice that AFC Energy are managing to hold their AGM by having a quorum of directors present, and asking shareholders to vote by proxy. Perhaps PHE can do a similar thing for the EGM.

We shall have to wait and see.

Also, does anyone know who is holding these warrants?
