I feel that this is one of the problems having the sales function hived off into a separate un-listed company. W2T tends to be a bit of a loose cannon and difficult for PHE to control, as we have seen on more than one occasion in the past. Now that both KA and DR are no longer directors of W2T, it becomes even more difficult to control.

Of course I realise that they are probably doing a very valuable job is making contacts and hopefully finding organisations to fund the projects.

I don't think Keith was "pushed out" Audible, I certainly don't get that impression from the RNS.

Last year we had a "Quarterly Update" on 19th January. I wonder if we will get one this year around the same time.

I have held the view for a long time that we should be dealing properly with our own waste in our own country instead of pushing it on to other countries who are not able to deal with it properly. So in this country we charge 5p or 10p for each plastic bag and step up to the moral high ground. Not good enough.

And if the waste plastic that we send to the Far East finds its way into the sea, then the sea will bring it back to us either to land it on our beaches, or inside our fish.

Just for clarification, I was referring to David Ryan's comment quoted in Rooky's post 15:31 today: "If I can secure a feed stock of 20,000 tons of tyres per year, I can certainly look at a dedicated tyre operation"'. I was pointing out that 20,000 tonnes per annum could be dealt with, just about, by using two 25tpd DMG units working together on one site. 2*25 = 50 tonnes per day x 360 dasy = 18,000 tonnes, which is fairly close to the figure of 20,000 tonnes quoted by David Ryan.

Rooky, I sent KA details of the Killingholme site as well, and didn't get a reply either! Anyway, if they had two 25tpd units operating, that would give them 50 tonnes per day, x360 days = 18,000 tonnes per annum, so that should do it!

Have a care, Tony, and bearing in mind that the RNS states "due to extenuating personal circumstances" it's rather unnecessary to make comments such as "jumped ship and left" without knowing his actual personal circumstances.

larry, my take on it is that when they set the price of 0.12p they probably didn't expect the market price to fall below that. But of course now that we can buy in the market at less than the open offer price, I can't see anyone taking up there kind offer. Not sure where we go from here.

I thought they were getting income from the sale of coal, so not sure why they need this placing anyway.

If we are talking about the planning permission that was granted for Peel's site at Bilsthorpe in June 2016, then it is indeed the intention "to use the same technology as Air Products’ ill-fated Tees Valley project" to quote the report in letsrecycle.com dated 3rd June 2016, link below.

"According to Peel, the Westinghouse Plasma Corp – the developer behind the plasma gasification technology for the plant – has shown the technology to be operational in Japan since 2002."

It seems that it is not clear why the system failed at Teeside.

Is this statement still current, or is it out of date?

If they are going to get the DMG unit up and running in Q3 this year then they would really need to be starting the site works about now. And before they can do that they need to get the various permissions, and sign the lease. So we need news!
