Thanks Abzzba good stuff. I haven't had the will to really consider the renewables side of the business after the ongoing oil saga. Put simply will the renewables increase the SP? If so, When (which year) and roughly what is the likely first spike SP rise...

Abzza. I watched the link ref India and oil refinery (starts at 27.00) all sounds very positive and the ties are getting stronger with India - 2500 Indian workers doing double shift through summer months to offset impact of winter close down.

My one concern which I'm sure you can answer is .... Does an Indian exploration company have the potential ability to kick PetroMatad out of Mongolia? even though on paper its a Mongolian company? It's a genuine question and one that's been nagging me for a while..

Okay. I'll replace the term a Trickle of Oil with another description. We have an acorn that might might mature into an Oak Tree - I came up with this description as I am currently growing eight oak trees in my garden..... The acorns came from my golf club and my wife's school.....

IV33. Petro Matad are in a very strong position if and when the paperwork gets cleared. They would pass an acid test due to the liquidity of the company that is being achieved by the trickle of oil. This trickle will hopefully turn into a stream, growing into a river and then a sea and finally an ocean. However, the pen is mightier than the sword and to often we have counted the chickens before the eggs have hatched. So I think whilst the future is potentially positive we need to stay grounded. Just one further tip - stop doing character assassination's as it's not very professional and I'm sure you are better than that.

At this point we are all taking a snap shot of how we think Petro Matad is performing. None of us can control it's destiny we can only control how and when we invest against the potential risks and rewards. Over my eight years I have invested £20k in cash and I have absolutely no intention of selling as currently I suffer a PAPER lose. I'm not so worried about losing my £20k in cash I am more worried that if I did pull the plug and the SP went to £1 the feeling would be quite distressing. My friend bough 20p shares in a fashion house and happily sold at 40p to make a good profit. A couple of years later the SP had moved to £50 and he made the mistake of looking up the share price....he was gutted!!! So no I don't worry about the loosing £20k and would rather stick it out to see what happens :)

IV33 - I was certainly not a funeral director. I retired at the age of 53 and enjoy the trappings of a good pension and a happy family life. I don't pay into a funeral plan either.

IV33. I'm certainly not half glass full person although it's always good to take on board reality. The 133% production increase comes from a very low baseline and does not reflect the earlier promise from Petro Matad that 14 oil wells would be struck. Without a partner to scale up the oil production Petro Matad will struggle and as you rightly say we don't know what is going on behind the scenes re farm out and renewables. It might be good it might be bad.

I studied an MBA in business development and management of change and would recommend you carry out a PESTLE analysis to really understand what the real risks and opportunities are to Petro Matad. I also worked for 25 yrs as a Management Accountant and I must say some of the stuff you spout about movements of SP and the manipulation of SP by the Market Makers as rather fanciful whilst also intriguing. Petro Matad certainly lack strategic and operational intent which is typical of a company that to a certain extent remains in the embryonic stage of it's life cycle. This is due to environmental pressures they can't control.
