RE: Staking a claim - taking private?15 Apr 2019 13:07
A similar thing thing happened with Matra OIl when Maxxim Barsky (or hower you spell it) A Russian. Not long after, the company was suspended and it went private and we were all issued with a Certificate. I still have mine and the share became 'Worthless' against the cost of cashing them in.
IMO, MXO isn't going anywhere. SO will though, cease to be CEO, he will be paid off one day and trading on the AIM will stop. In the back of my mind, this was always going to happen sooner or later and the share price will undulate at a small fraction of a Penny once in the private hands of 'Shake your money'. Give it time and I bet I'm right. maybe a year?
The only time I'd invest in MXO would be if someone gave me a few quid, but even then, it would be to trade rather than LTH. MXO may not be dead in the water, but for the LTH, it's not far off. The occasional rise will happen as will large dips. So Shakey Matey with all his cash, won't be bothered with the AIM and it's Fees.
There are only a handful of people that will significantly benefit and that's that Olivier bloke and a few top nobs. Many little Oilers go down this route, establish themselves with a kind and loving, friendly CEO, then once the cash is in, it's rather like going out on a date, 'Making hay' and being nice to someone, then once the evening's through, it's good grief, must have left the gas on', will phone you, and that's it....GONE...'Speed 'o Light'!
