I expect you had one of the last reasonable staff members back then and was probably fired for having a 'Soul'. I was hauled over the coals in 2006 as I hadn't paid any Tax, simply because my small concern hadn't taken enough taxable income. They grilled me for over two hours in vast detail...every fiver from my Business statement which was virtually impossible to recall what it was for..three years on to the Investigation. I had to put on my very best act of shear distress and 'head in the hands panic' which was only part real. In the end, it was found they owed ME £100. Whether they paid it or not, I didn't bother to check.

One poor guy's accountant walked out on him as he said he divulged EVERYTHING on paper before the Investigation, At the very end, the 'Griller' said , "Well, that's about it now thankyou, oh and just one more thing....The Yacht you bought and paid for at £125,000. Can you explain...there was a pause, shortly followed by a rather noxious Pong!!! The guy had to pay a stack of Tax and find a new accountant for lying. Lesson learned.

Thanks for that! In fact, it IS two years Penalties. The main problem is that the onus is 100% on the Tax payer, so unless you happen to be dead or nearly dead, you're in trouble. I assume you went through the Court of Appeal. They look at the facts. They will also look at the first appeal rejection form to see what they say. HMRC are biased and they get money for old rope on the penalties but the need a deterrent to those who don't pay won't pay. With these guys, even reasonable and viable excuses are not enough because they can be made up.

Perhaps if I tell them that I've been with MXO for 5 years and undergoing extreme duress and anxiety because of a naff CEO, that must be a sure-fire get out? I sent them 17 written email's which I kept like a diary to prove that he was a wrong' un, and some initial supporting evidence. If I lose, they with charge the penalties and two years interest which will amount to nearly £6000, so that's going to be tough one :((

A friend of mine's accountant did the dirty and HMRC fined them £60,000 or prison. They were going to sue him, but he died! They had to pay the money.

Perhaps 'Crowd Funding' would work?!

I have my work cut out today as I have been preparing a Court case against my Rogue accountant who has stitched me up for a shed load of £££s in HMRC penalties due to his incompetence and his plausible explanations that I should not pay HMRC penalty's dues to them 'losing' my Return. Fact was that he never sent it. He claimed many calls to HMRC and that even the appeals were going through for the amounts I paid. WRONG! I phones HMRC and asked them what they had on their system from my Agent. The answer was nothing, so this guy got the Bullet and the sharp end of my tongue. SCREWED :((

The Chinese are a majority shareholders. I thought Hon had millions of shares plus his 'mates' bought a lot too. Because of Hon's position in business, it's highly unlikely that SO took him for a Mug, so he must have offered them other information that we know nothing about. You don't just buy millions of shares without a few 'Chinese Whispers'.

I think the main reason for most people remaining here is because the Chinese are 'all in' for a darn good reason. Had they not been, many would have jumped ship by now?

No reason for that, SO does a perfectly good job on his own. It's unlikely that any posts on this forum will affect the Share price. Social Media may have an impact if enough was said.

There will be a rise in excess of 5% tomorrow on the pretext of Bermondsey's note about the fact that we are earning some decent cash made obvious by S.Os increase in salary. It depends on the Market's view about that as it could be construed as a negative OR a positive? +5% it is then?

We hope so, and no Stefan is not a con-artist. He's just darn good at convincing us he's the man for the job!! eh?

EOG: O/T Europa Oil & Gas has just fallen foul of the 'Swampy's' at the top of Leith Hill a few days ago. Just for interest's sake, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was going to be fracked and there was so much fuss kicked from the locals, they actually won the case and EOG pulled out. It took them over two years to win the case, at least. It was too environmentally damaging, plus the Plant was too large for the narrow roads. Loads of oil there, but they won't get their hands on it, so I can't blame them for having a go at Europa.

As it happens, I know a number of people who petitioned against it and also in the local paper, EOG lost. Leith Hill is 10 minutes from here and I can't blame them for not wanting the Fracking to upset the water table, etc. etc. Their share price was damaged considerably.

As far as MXO go, the guy I was chatting to just now, who had a big say in EOG's 'demise' on the Hill, is very much in the know about AIM Oiler's and the CEO's being rogues on huge salaries PLUS Bonuses which apparently, isn't 'shown on the books', as such and filtered away elsewhere. After they have shafted the Shareholder's, many of these little Oiler's simply go bust whilst the CEO's lives the life of Riley. Well, he's pretty much right, it seems. I've seen this happening over the last decade and most of the Minnow's have now delisted or simply gone.

Who's next. They're all at it and most of us now know that SO falls into the same category. Self P&D, loads of Insider Trading and most people don't know the half of what goes on because it's under regulated...even if it's regulated at all? Look at RRL and Peter Landau, a qualified Barrister who became so complacent and greedy, they nicked him and he went up before the Ozzy Courts for Fraud and they froze his assets whilst the case was/is investigated. He even spoke directly to a mate of mine telling him some 'Insider info' that was a pack of lies and he put an extra £20K into it, based on the CEO's BS, but at the time, I told him it was all wrong and to be very careful. He lost nearly every penny from his original £60K Investment...as did I but not that vast amount! :((

Too many people are disillusioned with the AIM and in most cases, the majority of investor's lose almost everything, but not always...look at RKH a few years ago?! Just occasionally, you can get rich, but I don't think it will be here. If you see SO in the flesh or in photo's, just take a good look at his nose....see if it's getting any longer?

I should steer clear of the AIM now unless you have other holding's. I isn't worth it. Ten years, I put around £5k into Landau's Pocket, now I have about fifty quid left. I can't see Range doing much, but it owe's me 15p per share. Those days are long gone, unless they strike it rich like Uncle Jed.

I'm still in MXO and it's a similar tale. Most small Oiler's fail and just a handful get through. MATRA was another, they delisted and although I only had a few hundred in it, the shares are now worth £25 out of £400.

Never again will I Deal here and I think the general opinion across the AIM these days is much the same. What will happen after Brexit, that could kill the AIM stone dead...or would it?

It looks as if we may soon see an extra '0' against the share price. After ten years of being here, I'm down to virtually nil. To cap it all, my previous Accountant has screwed me over with not sending my Self Assessments on time. Not only that, he said HMRC lost mine...AND he sent three Returns in the same envelope. MINE was 'lost'. He claimed he'd been in touch with HMRC to sort it all out and not to pay the Fines as they would 'drop the case'. No such luck.

After many months of me trusting him to his word and his 'progress; HMRC told me they have never received once single ounce of Tax returns, duplicates or appeals...sod all. Now I have to pay HMRC £2000 as they rejected my appeal. I'm now even more pi55ed off :((( Worse still, he was a Freelance Retired Accountant (Ex Brook Street Bureau, Pro accountant) which means I have no case against him except in the Small Claims Court with no G'tee tI would win. Should break his writing fingers.

According to someone I know who has LOT to do with Brexit (a 'Remainer'), apparently, at the end of the day, Brexit is more like to be 'Remain' more than 'Leave' and won't be as much Leave in it as first thought. Also, we may or may not know the full extent of any TRUE deal that T. May will strike up, whether or not it's deal or 'no deal'. As the fifth largest economy, they can ill afford to be without us, and I think the deal within the 'no deal' will still cost Billions to the UK....we just won't know the full facts because they will keep it quiet. Over the years, snippets will emerge, probably when May gets kicked out. It's like all big Gov. deals, they only tell us want they want us to know.

We don't even know how much underhand dealing there was between Blair and Bush. One things for sure, Blair wasn't a Multi Millionaire until sometime after the Iraq War.

The Market is a funny place, or funny peculiar. It appears these days, that 'progressing' and results do affect the Share price to some degree, and so will the Field Developments. BUT.....It's the end result that usually becomes recognised. Over the last 15 years, I have noticed that it's all very saying we've started this and are doing that, it makes the Markets yawn because progress is the norm. It's the completion with the tangible result that is the key. The leading up to it never makes much difference. However, as the Market's are fickle, if SO got a puncture in his tyre on the way to work and the Market's picked up on it, the 'Chaos' theory kicks in, and they would if they could, drop the SP by 10% just for that. You see my point?

The AIM is not geared in the punter's favour unless like RKH did a few years ago, a miracle happened, the Oiler 'gods', may lend a hand?

Pray, enlighten me why it's a bargain as it's been floating around at much less than 1p for yonks. It only becomes a bargain if you make a decent profit!

Whilst the RNS's suggest it's all possibly going to be good, I will as always, believe it when I see it at 2p-3p. All we don't need is cash call or two, to knock a few more increments off the price. It would be the result of whether it's worth it or not, or just feathering SO's nest?

An optimist on the MXO Forum... can't be bad! Fine if you have much less than a 1p Average?
