Will we ever get to play the Puerto Rican Broom Dance again, although if Stefan does go, we'll all play it!
The Dance may be remembered by those who were here from the start. I don't know who placed the link on this forum, but it's a jolly little tune. If you haven't seen it, look on Youtube and consider yourself lucky you are on your side of the Monitor!! :))
No, not going to go down the Proxy vote just for that. If feelings are high for him to go, then Majority Shareholder's will see him off by the Lychees!
They probably all did!
One day, SO is going to end up with Egg Fried Rice on his face and a couple of Chopsticks. Ouch! LOL
I'm with Halifax, I cannot find any up to date 'Corporate Actions' so I can place my vote to get rid of Olivier. Anyone know of a way around this or do I have to await the Notification which may not have been released yet? Thanks.
You tell 'im, too-old! Although we should ALL tell him and bombard him with e-mail's and say he's a waste of Money?
Yes, "Is anybody there..........?" You may even get a response. SO's Great Grandfather knocking a Vase of the shelf to vent his displeasure with S O's Wage packet. :)
"The market cap it c.£13k, to say its a minnow overstates it size, if this was a good investment opportunity these shares would be getting devoured and accumulated. But, as everyone is realising, this is just smoke, mirrors and directors salaries."
It's the same over on MXO, TINY Share price, but the CEO's Salary has pretty much doubled since OUR Invested Money helped put him where he is today. That's really taking the Pi55, and during the next AGM, questions will be asked, and they will be harsh and too the point.
The sooner Cornhill goes with all it's attachments the better. The Tiger in the Woodpile ;)
MXO needs a "Restructure", a flush out... a purge, ready for the next CEO. I bet SO's Knuckles and the Palms of his hands are pretty chafed by now with all that 'spare' dosh floating around. Not sure whether the Chinese will do much about it, especially if they are 'hand in glove', using the term loosely, with SO. We just have to await the news, and also, no Pod casts have appeared for ages to encourage interest.
If a new CEO came along, this SP would whizz back towards at least 3p if they guy was known to be good. However, this isn't going to happen all the while he's raking it in? How good was this share three years ago...the best share on the AIM which was going to make us all loads a money? LOL :((
Wonder what happened to his North American Petroleum business. I think that's what it was called. He must be Minted?
Empty threat, all hot air. They would never be allowed to get that Far otherwise we'll have another Suez when Nasser got cheesed off with main controlling factor's and wanted all the Pie for himself. If they did that, all hell would break loose on Iran from all over. Won't happen.
More Middle Eastern trouble. That region has been creating hassle for over 2000 years, yet they are all pretty much one of the same! If you are 'too-old' you will just about remember that and the Cuban jobby. Now that WAS scary!
Unless the Chinese and SO have a private deal going on, if they are not happy, those are the guys with the whip hand who could help oust him. The sooner the better.
It really IS Dire 'ere, to say the least :(( Not many better ways of putting it?
Hope you're right, then most of us can escape with a profit :) I'll believe it when I see it!
...or even 1000 =1 !
It did go well when Barskey took over, but it's no good now. I thought it would go really well, but no. I had thousands then now consolidated 1:1000 If I sold my holding, it would only buy a few Beers!! MXO is still a more desirable version of 'useless' AIM shares. Ha!
Not as bad as Matra Petroleum who delisted a few years ago. My meagre holding is worth less than a 'Farthing' a share, so that about 98% down :(
SO doesn't care, we've oiled his wheels and he's got momentum. Shame it doesn't reflect here?
I consider that quite good by comparison, I can get into a 'down' of a 3 fig. %age. Won't say how much though. The next Shareholder Meeting could be fun. If SO doesn't say enough of the right thing, he could end up with rather a lot of free groceries like the Cabbages in 'Crackerjack'!
All the best matey. maybe the SPO would have gone up by 11% if SO hadn't been so bloody greedy with around a £50+K in crease in his 'ill gotten gains'. Damn unfair it seems. He's the only person outside this Forum who's getting some decent Wonga.
I had a hunch that nothing was going to happen to MXO this year judging what I could read in to the company. It will remain so until some more positive and Tangible news appears that the Market's can get their teeth into. For now, it's still a shambles and will continue to be borderline, a Farce.
SO need to be voted out. If that happens, the Chinese will have the biggest say and grab SO by the proverbial Short hairs and have a few harsh words?
Cheers

Hope you are under 40 then. 5p... I'd safely say, 99.999% no chance?
It's a tough one. Trump could be on a sticky Wicket if he's not careful. He will further isolate the US from the rest of the world and imposing Trade Tariff's may hinder the US Economy rather the help it? If that happens, Trader's will seek better deals elsewhere, so I think it could help us. However, Trump said a while ago that we will be having better trading relations between the US and the UK which still remains to be seen. It wasn't so long ago, that he said we'd be at the 'End of the Queue' when it came to business. We all know the Yanks say End of the Line, clearly written buy someone form the UK as 'propaganda'! We do NEED to trade freely all over the World and as far as the UK as whole is concerned, we'll need all the business we can get, Tariff's or not. If these are imposed from the US AND These obstructive blighter's in the EU, it will affect consumer and business confidence which could lead us into a spiralling recession with no easy way out. I think the EU bod's want to 'break' the UK in spite for Brexit, but what good would it do. They want to sell us cars, Wines and a host of other things, so they would be cutting off their Noses to spite their faces. Plus the effect will work BOTH ways, so tariff's from all sides is most certainly the wrong thing to do. It will just add further malaise to our already ropey share price. High Tariffs and trade embargo's is NOT the way to do good business especially if Trump wants to sell more of their own products. After all, who want's Blossom Hill Wine anyway. The Yanks could never make a decent Wine. Trump is Blinkered and needs to look at the longer term picture. Don't bank on North Korea for bringing Business in to the US. Kim Jon Un could close the door at any time, and so far he's made a well calculated mockery of the US by playing them like a fruit machine from the start. Kim Jon know's exactly what he's doing. MX Oil could be largely unaffected unless a Recession happens?
I'm still very surprised that given the RNS and all that's going, this SP is STILL a miserly 0.40p. Even when it was 5p ages ago, there was NO news although the amount of shares in issue were just a handful? Are the Market's fed up with Oiler's, what does it take to even get this up to a poultry ONE Penny...a Gusher or a change in CEO, although it maybe the latter?!
I suppose when it involves one's whole life, you can't not think what it could have been like. However, it's how it is. I may turn my hand to Oil's or Watercolour later. I'll have to see if I have the patience to sit for hours and paint! I'm still in half a mind as to whether or not to hang on to these Shares now. There seems to be little point year after year with little or no progress. Have to see? I have a couple of mates who has two Esprit's and one with an Elan which he's had since the 70s....£800! I had two Midget's, one 1966 on a D plate which I shared with my Brother, and the other which I bought in '76 for £1400 N plate. Not many miles on the clock, but that was a shed load back then. I couldn't stretch to the TR6 as it was £1795...much too much! The other cars were very mundane, right up to present day apart from a Series 1 XJ6 and an Uno Turbo Mk11...that was a quickie! Must do weeks worth of Paperwork before it keeps me up all night thinking about it.
