Blautix was definitely not a disaster- ask anyone with any knowledge, they'll tell you. Do some DD, it might prevent you from losing your house. No , you're not alone. Very annoying, but we have been reassured that 0518 results will happen in Q1... plus new CFO resumably wouldn't have joined if he wasnt confident of the potential. I do think that a lot of people are waiting to be sure qe've hitting the rock solid bottom to pile in. Because current mcap is a joke. Truly, on Nasdaq companies have this mcap with a couple of compounds in Phase1. But yes, all this is super annoying , very testing times.

FPTP... well spotted!!! Yes, I am uneasy when 4D is going through a perfect storm of distressed seller tanking the SP and then having shorters piggyback on that trend driving the SP even lower.

So my attack would be on anyone pretending like shorting biotechs with promising life-saving treatments is the same as shorting a cinema chain or an entertainment company on FTDE100. Because yes, tanking SP does affect SME biotech's ability to deliver which is precisely the reason I started this thread - as people don't seem to understand the impact a tanking SP might have on a small innovative company.

One big fund getting involved would change that, just hoping it arrives sooner rather than later !!!

FPTP... I have not actually accused you of being paid by anyone, someone else has so please vent your anger elsewhere. It's quite telling that you have nothing to reply that is constructive and have to resort to personal attacks.

People know me on this board as a loyal 4D investor and someone who really believes in microbiome research and what this company could achieve if trials do continue to provide good data.That is based on my research and due diligence, not sure if you have done any research into it or you are simply looking at the recent SP trend.

When several people appear on this board, simultaneously, with relatively new LSE accounts - and start professing doom and gloom (and some openly declaring themselves shorters) I feel under attack by people trying to ruin my investment. Surely, as a holder, you must do to? :)

By shorting biotechs you are preventing them from securing further finance as you are contributing to SP volatility and making it difficult for anyone to approve investment (finance companies clearly want stability)

And no, shorters haven't got a clue about what they are shorting and why - and whether the science behind a biotech they are shorting is sound and potentially life-saving. They look at technical analysis and decide to profit on the back of a current sentiment (in 4D case this started with a distressed seller causing a sell-off)

So please spare me your 'conscious/ethical shorter' narrative. You know it's not true so please let's not go there. I hope you don't get to a situation where you are regretting shorting life-saving treatments, karma is a beautiful thing.

Cancer will kill 1 in 3 of us, at current rates and you should think twice before coming here and being all proud about shorting 4D, here's why.
Shorting Oncology biotechs massively hinders their ability to raise finance, accelerate R&D and outlicense to pharma- who then make those drugs available to people who are currently dying. And Oncology (Immuno-oncology in particular) has really achieved very serious progress over the last 10-15 years, but we are still far away from beating cancer.

No, by shorting biotechs you are not just playing the market - you are genuinely switching their lights off slowly and making it difficult for them to invest in their science.

Big pharma have over the last 15 years massively reduced their in-house R&D operations in favour of in-licensing from university spin-offs and niche, specialist biotechs so we, humans, really massively rely on small biotechs these days for innovation and new treatments.

4D is developing what is increasingly looking like a brand new drug class. Go short mining companies or weapons manufacturers if you have any decency. What will you say to yourself or your family when cancer comes knocking?

Ed... I only scramble when Luftwaffe appear on the radar. They have been carpet bombing over the last few weeks, every day. Same people, same stories... wonder what is low enough for them?

If Oncology update is positive- we should see 3-5x from here in H1 this year.

Blautix partnership (especially if involving some kind of a cash/licensing agreement) could make this very appealing for a TO offer (considering the depth of pipeline and patents held by 4D).

We all know there are pharma companies really interested in investing in microbiome, and putting an offer of 2-3bn (if our trials data is continuing to look positive) wouldn't be an issue for them

However, what happens between RNS' doesn't matter if you mistime your re-entry and mcap goes up by 200-500%.

If we all knew exactly when RNS would land then we could all sit and have fun with technical analysis.

Biotechs exist to drive compound development that either has value or not, depending on trials updates. That drives the real value - what pharma is willing to pay.

So, play with charting between RNS - real value of a biotech company lies in valuation of when and what pharma is willing to pay (either for a licensing agreement or a TO).

Hey chartists. In biotech, one RNS makes charting completely pointless.

Comes down to this: are you OK to sustain this pain and you think the company will deliver?

If you want to trade....Can you really time re-entry? Some people can, some people miss the boat and then basically end up having to swallow their loss and move on.

Btw... if you think DP and AS decided to spend $1m each on a stock (DDDD) they presumably would be very familiar with :)... and they didn't believe in it..don't know (and at £1.10):) Doesn't sound to me like that makes sense.

That said, I am infuriated with comms and lack of progress recently. Do understand people who are selling.
