Hinkais, you would certainly think so but when it comes to the FI oil shares I have learnt nothing is certain.

One thing I am certain of, we are rapidly approaching the moment of truth for both BOR and the Falklands oil dream as a whole.

Just posing a question , is it conceivable that the board have tried to arrange a placement and been told it wont work, if that were the case would they have to tell us. If the answer to the first question is no then it means they must be working on something else.

You would have to hope that the board have a fall back option, but even if the worst comes to the worst they would still have the best part of the year to sell the asset to the highest bidder, the gas supply problems in europe of the last few months will hopefully have concentrated a few minds.

I think there will be concrete news long before then, has to be.

Surely as time goes by as to funding a placement must be less and less ikely with annual results due in 2 months.....just my laymans opinion.

The biggest issue we have always had here is that companies with operations and assets in Argentina wont get involved in the FIs.

I agree this is positive, one could also speculate that BOR have already convinced the FIG on funding to get the extension, but as always with this share I try to look at the other possibilities as well, it is still a high risk high reward play......just now less high risk than it was on Friday.

Ok, no doubt this is positive news, but the fact that it has only been extended 11 months says to me its the FIG saying something has to happen with funding in that time frame...read into it what you will.

To me if there was a serious possibility of the licences being lost due to lack of funding then I would find it even more bizarre that our new investor bought in, remember he hasnt dropped back out or we would have an rns, these people have connections we dont, well certainly I dont. Cash raises on aim can and do take place at these sort of sps.....pretty sure Tower Resources did one, they would certainly be capable of that to raise enough to keep the lights on, yet we havent heard anything of an attempt, if they had and it wasnt possible surely that would be information they had to release. Just my opinion Im no expert, we will know soon enough. ATB.

This is different to previous years in that there is an rns behind it, the one thing I cannot reconcile with him taking a stake is why now, if there was any thought that a placement was coming then this is the worse time to buy. Just my opinion, we are all guessing and I may very well be wrong.

Its strange where we are, on the one side we have the green lobby who would vehemently oppose the opening of any new hydrocarbon basin, that has only got stronger in the 10 years since the Darwin discovery, yet on the other side with the politics of the middle east and Russia over that same time frame the case for an energy source well away from those areas is even more compelling, interesting and dangerous times we live in.

A bit left field I know, but any opinions as to what will happen to the oil price if Putin invades Ukraine?
