Not an expert in drug discovery but there should a a formal appraisal for relevance of our drugs for alternative use in covid-19? i keep referring to TILS as they had an anti-viral lung drug on phase 1/2 clinical trial and is now repurposed as a potential therapeutic option for COVID-19 patients. Some of VAL's products could have potential eg:

1. VAL401 which is used in cell lung cancer patients. Given that Covid mainly attacks the lungs, there may be potential.

2. GeneICE, a technology platform designed to control expression levels of genes that may be over or under expressed in disease states. 

3. TRAC a tool to study expression characteristics of genes, and has potential use in the diagnostics arena.

4. FitBio  which can bee paired with the GeneICE products to create potential therapeutic products

i will drop an email to the company to see if a formal review has been done for alternative use on covid-19.

i have not been on Varirx forum because i only invested in the company recently and i do not want to be on sidelines mourning about what the company is or is not doing , yet we have the power to improve the running of the business, collectively.

This is what i feared that progressive discussions on what we (PIs ) can do together would be muddled with personal attacks. The objective is to open communication with the bod and any positive contribution whether by a 10 year investor or new investor or a non-investor is a step in the right direction.

POINT 1. The Board should consider collaboration using its products & technology on Covid-19 therapeutics /vaccine and put this out to the market

Many bio firms like TILS, have raced to re-purpose their portfolio trial drugs for covid use and the shares became 10 beggar stocks within weeks. Others like E-therapeutics have put out a mere RNS to say if there is anyone interested in collaboration, we are available and the market has rewarded those companies. Our board should seriously consider such options. There is no cost to the company except an RNS announcement charge which is around £100.

The Covid crisis window will soon disappear and only the fast acting, change embracing and visionary Boards have so far benefited. I hear the word "crisis" in Chinese is composed of two characters, the first signifying "danger" and the second "opportunity".

If additional resources are required, many shareholders would be very supportive of a share raise at a much higher share price than the current one!

to avoid confusion i have decided to start a thread on "ideas to share with VAL Board" instead of this thread. So that the title is clear enough for whoever is posting.

i agree with you both, my only other suggestion is to let use THIS THREAD to post STRICTLY ideas which we will share with management; and lets avoid anything else that crowds out the important points.

Just reading some of the comments below and i wonder if there is anyone here with the appetite for a VAL whatsup group or shareholder discussion group were we can all collectively influence the direction of the company??. We all have some good ideas but if they are not communicated to the board (without micro-managing them), they they are lost in these forums.

This has multi-bag potential, now at 52 week low. Now it is fully funded there is nothing but clear runway for the sp to act and behave freely. Happy to hold these and wait for however long is needed to see this go much,, much higher.

im going mad with this free fall esp in France. £4 wont come easily. Hope we get an update soon.

No harm intended. I just thought it’s an opportunity for other investors who are waiting for visibility on ODX earn something in between. I still have ODX shares but reduced my stake a little.

Re MTPH its now 29p from 27p low. I reckon will close 30p+ today. only 23m shares in issue ( only 25% of this in public hands). Yes warrants price is 34p and most warrant holders want to earn a decent return vs the cost of exercise hence the exercise would be at least 20% or so of the exercise price i.e. 40p. It should easily bounce back to 40p+ range by end of the week.

Sold half my ODX shares moving to MTPH, with market cap of £6m. More chance of an explosion there than here.MTPH are researching on T Cell priming to limit spread of covid 19 among other drugs in their portfolio. Now fully funded. Less than 30% shares in public. It hit 80p earlier this month.

Me too, not many shares in circulation

A friend oversubscribed for the recent share issue and he can’t pay due to personal circumstances. He has asked if I can get some if the shares. Just checking if anyone had been in a similar situation since I guess his name will be on the share certificates or crest? Any advice welcome.

I have worked in share brokers & exchanges industry with over 20 years of experience. I know everyone wants an RNS to clarify the company’s position as there is so much speculation/lies/claims out there.

Instead of ramping/deramping on the boards, I suggest you ALL simply email the directors/ nomad through their official contact email address: omega@walbrookpr.com or send your requests for market update to the directors (names of directors on ODX website) through LinkedIn/Phone. The company is obliged to reply to you.

In addition ODX is under regulatory disclosure obligation to update the market when there many significant claims/assertions/speculations on the market or significant movement in its share/volumes of shares traded.

If the number of requests is high enough the company has no option other than to update market as a whole through an RNS.
