My stance cannot in any sensible way be determined as “anti-business”. You may not share the same view (and that is your right) however, to suppose I am in any way anti-business because of my support for the U.K. remaining within the E.U. is misguided in the extreme. It may come as a surprise to you, however, the vast majority of British businesses that expressed a view, all determined that remaining in a union that has seen disposable income increase threefold in my lifetime, is best for the long term interests of U.K. You may hold a different view. That doesn’t mean you are correct. And besides, wasn’t it your mugwumping Brexiteer-in-chief who famously stated “f... business”?

As for the multiple identities, you have no more proof that they are separate people than I have suspicions they’re not. In fact, I can point to a series of slip ups that might cast doubt on the veracity of your assertion. Do you think you can ‘prove’ your belief? Because I know you can’t.

Dangerous views? Again, that’s just opinion. Mine are that yours are actually dangerous, anti business, and will harm our country far more than it would appear you are capable of discerning. But hey... there you go. We’ve all got a voice. And, as a patriot, I will continue to exercise mine. Rather than criticise me, why don’t you endeavour to elucidate exactly why you think me wrong?

Hi, Tinhatnail. If - as you say - every day’s a school day, I hope you won’t mind me pointing out that what you have recently been led to believe, is little more than a bulletin board myth. A broker that lends out retail investors’ shares (if any from nominee accounts) is a rare bird indeed.

By way of an example, Hargreaves Lansdown have this to say about lending their account holders’ shares:

“We maintain detailed records of all your investments and assets for which you will at all times remain the beneficial owner. We do not lend stock held in our HL service or PMS service.”

It’s about community engagement. And whilst some might see it as a sop, it’s more to do with putting down roots and making quite clear ‘your community is our community. Here we are, and we’re here to stay.’

Hiya, Myo. Yes it is pretty small beer in the grand scheme of things. However, if we consider that the company is by far and away majority PI owned, and 238K is no doubt more than the average shareholding, it is the sort of news holders will instinctively balk at when they have seen ~30% wiped off the value of their investment in the last month.

Of course behind the scenes it’s business as usual, and the company’s development continues at pace. And no doubt DTR regs require disclosure. However, and again in light of the shareholder base this is just the type of information that feeds into the loop and fuels the cycle of negativity that we have seen in recent weeks.

I’m not saying that the award isn’t deserved or indeed, worthwhile. I do think it unfortunate however, that for one reason or another, this type of notification needs to be disclosed at this stage.

Good afternoon, Villagreg. What you are admitting is that yesterday as the price fell, you almost sold your holding. And today, as the price has risen, you bought more. I hope you won’t mind too much if I tell you this is classic amateur investor behaviour, and in many ways is exactly the actions certain players attempt to manipulate.

I hope today’s price action underlines for you that - inevitably - when you’re unsure of what you should do, the best thing you can do is do nothing. Mastering our emotions and the way they can often compel us to behave against our own interests, is a key step to take when attempting to succeed at this game. And it’s something we always need to keep on top of also — because even after being invested here for ten years, I still hear temptation whispering in my ear to do this or do that from time to time.
