Never mind the leeks — their main requirement is nitrogen which can come from unzipping your fly. That name isn’t just a coincidence! The crops that’ll benefit most from Poly4 will be the fruiters, The flowerers and sulphur hungry roots — think, pumpkins, toms, chilis, beets, carrots etc.

Perhaps Myo can grow a massive ‘Atlantic Giant’ (despite its culinary deficiencies) and auction it off like that chap did a few years back? Anything positive in the local rag will always go down well. Who knows, perhaps Ben Houchen will turn up for a photo op too. He’s good at that.

Hi, Alan. I’m not entirely sure how it would appear to have escaped your notice, however, the budget is already blown, mate. That’s why we are now looking at alternative sources of funding for the $400-600mn needed.

I’m all for giving our board our support, but we shouldn’t be turning a blind eye to material changes in cost or schedule as and when they occur either.

Having said that, I’m not convinced. I’m not sure what wording FosterE is seeing as different, however, from the quotes I cited earlier the wording wrt senior debt is the same as it is now. And if other options (such as subordinated debt or a completion bond) were on the table then, by definition, how could they absolutely not be now?

I’m more than happy to fight your corner with a contrarian point of view if you should feel it accurate and necessary, casapinos. However, are you really trying to suggest one needs a special perspicacity to determine ST2 financing is a critical stage of the company’s evolution and that anyone who should seek a loan, ever, should not be entirely in control of their circumstances? Good morning, Cherokee. I can’t say I concur with your thoughts on debt, and see no reason at all at this juncture not to believe that a subordinated debt or completion guarantee facility are not still up for consideration.

The 06/09 RNS stated: “The Company believes that a US$3bn senior debt financing is the appropriate level of debt and will not seek to increase this amount”

Today’s RNS states: “The Company believes that a US$3bn senior debt financing is the appropriate level of debt and will not seek to increase this amount.”

As you can see, the reference to senior debt is repeated entirely verbatim. And as we know all other options were on the table on 06/09, then to my mind there can be no reason to believe that situation doesn’t remain.

Hear, hear Milo. I could never be more happy for Alan to prove me wrong. Of course I am still holding out hope that Chris can negotiate a subordinated debt type scenario but, as you say, it’s all about managing expectations. I was deeply disappointed in many aspects of ST1 at first - and it to me a long time to get my head around many aspects of it. I simply won’t allow myself to feel that way again.

Let’s hope Chris can pull something out of the hat and live up to his “market leading expertise* in all aspects of the financing and development of major mining projects” billing.

US investors are simply returning to the market now that the one thing it hates most (ambiguity) has fallen away with the election results. Additionally buyers will undoubtedly be happy that, with the Democrats taking control of the House, some checks and balances will be in place to prevent Trump taking unilateral action in areas that he may have looked to cut back on or target such as healthcare or tech.

Would be good for markets in general if there were any significant ripple effect, however, general market moves in the States probably don’t have too much of a bearing on Sirius and where the company stands in its evolution. If your portfolio has some blue chips that generate revenues in USD though, then you may well see something of a fillip tomorrow because - unsurprisingly - the greenback has taken something of a beating as a consequence. Now the elections are out of the way, of course negative focus will revert back to China and the ongoing spectre of a trade dispute.
