I’d second Rockall’s thoughts, Dunna. It’s always good to see it reiterated that this whole enterprise is a project of firsts. From the largest fundraise on AIM in 2016 to first use of of a VSM in the U.K., and the deepest ever use of an SBR (morning, Tricky!). Sirius have come a long, long way in a few years, and whilst it’s undoubtedly frustrating that that fact isn’t currently reflected in the share price, it is always heartening to hear a leading civil engineer involved in your project quoted saying “My personal view is that we should embrace new technology and never be afraid to take those risks.”

There’s been many risks taken since I’ve been involved here. Some have worked spectacularly and others have been quietly replaced. But still, the desire to keep moving forward and embracing new technology and processes along the way continues unabated. And it it that drive to succeed - whatever it takes - that the market per se, doesn’t quite yet understand or appreciate.

Cheers, Myo. As a result of your post, I’ve now become aware of the phenomenon that is ‘brackling’. I’d hitherto imagined the effect as nothing more than a consequence of wind pattern. Little did I know - and this would be seemingly corroborated by the straight line effect I have observed - that it is more likely to do with effective nutrition at a molecular level.

Slightly left field (forgive the pun) and perhaps a little dull for some, but hey, I found it intriguing. And my mumblings are as equally valid as your original contribution. Apparently. Lol...

Noble sentiments, Kapersky, however, I’m afraid just not true. Unless you really value equally someone posting nothing more than ‘15p’ when compared to some of Myo’s comprehensive contributions.

Regrettably, the argumentative aspect isn’t particularly recent either. It could be solved though — with the removal of one person and goodness knows how many different identities. Unnecessary aggression and confrontation gone — just like that.

What ‘special’ interest was that to you? I bet nobody else here had reason to do such a thing that’s for sure.

Thanks for the reply, bandanaman. It’s good to have such a diverse array of insight here, and your specialty subjects certainly add to that, that’s for sure. I had a slight appreciation for stresses and torsions whilst the ships are loading as it was previously discussed either here or on blue. However as long as we have the ability to process and load the initial 10mtpa before ramping up to 13, then 20mtpa with the additional two berths at Bran Sands all should be good - and as you suggest, we should meet that requirement with 3 ships per week at RBT which would appear more than feasible.

Good afternoon,bandanaman. Imo you’re spot on with the 80k tonne load estimation as the most recent ‘project summary document’ states in the port section that the quay will be able to accommodate Panamax ships up to a capacity of 85,000 DWT. However, it also mentions that “the ship loader will be a long-travel, wide-span machine with a telescopic luffing boom with a design ship loading rate of 5,000 tonnes per hour”.

Of course there are other factors to consider apart from our loading ability, such as port traffic, tides and weather. However, modelling has been made in order to establish complete feasibility.

Sounds to me that you should really do yourself the favour of spending more than just an hour or two REALLY getting to know your investment. Allowing yourself to get over nervous and considering jumping ship because the under researched, over stretched and impatient lead to a drop in share price is doing yourself a disservice. If you’d really got a handle on this you’d have been exploiting the drop rather than adding to it. Yes, there is much you can glean from this board, however, until you are completely satisfied with your comprehension of this transformative project and the people driving it, you are always going to find yourself panicking over the ill conceived responses and caprices of the wider market.

Can’t claim to be particularly familiar with McL&H, however, from a brief perusal of their website it would appear that they are pretty capable builders and civil engineers. From wind farms to hospitals their project history and experience looks somewhat broad natured and comprehensive. As an aside, they seem to design and build some rather attractive projects and facilities also, so perhaps we can look forward to picking up the odd design and/or construction award to go along with their efforts.

All good stuff. Not long to wait now.

Thunder flashes and brimstone erupts it’s good to see some briteness coming back to the night sky. Like many other cities the people of Zeboim and Bela looked on Enviously as the the entertainment reached a peak in Sodom and Gomorrah and wished they were there. Hopefully we will see some fireworks go Up here with bright colours BOOMS and bangs.
Every day that passes gives all the cities of the plain the opportunity to have such a good time. Those that stick around will undoubtedly be rewarded as that cannot be the Lot.

Whilst it’s quite likely I’m opening myself up to condemnation for saying so, surely I’m not the only one growing weary with the opprobrium raining down on casapinos, am I?

They’ve made it clear that they hold a different view to the majority here - so what? Big deal. And unlike some of the halfwits that pitch up here saying ‘15p next week’ without any quantitative, let alone, qualitative research, casapinos has at least tried to explain their thinking. Now, I might not agree, and you likewise, but are their thoughts really so threatening or bothersome that they should feel so unwelcome that they should step back from posting? Of course not. Do you think Chris Fraser would give a flying fig what casapinos is thinking? Hardly, he’s gone a mine to build.

As OR just helpfully observed, he’s actually met casapinos and can confirm that they are an investor like the rest of us. They just happen to hold a different view predicated on the information as they see it. And the uncomfortable fact is, if anyone had followed the same course of action that was suggested by them, they would be be in a considerably better position to buy their shares back now — and perhaps I’m wrong, however, I cannot help but feel that that lends an element of frustration that exacerbates the sentiment behind some of the posts aimed toward them.

I have no wish to see casapinos feel that they shouldn’t post here. Their opinion is as valid as anyone’s, and nobody should seek to still another’s voice should we not agree. If you don’t agree say so or block them. Telling someone to ‘jog on’ or ‘do one’ simply because you disagree is not what any of us are here for. And it’s a very slippery slope too. After all, a slip of the tongue and perhaps it will be you the mob have it in for next.

Not so, causal. Both have purchased 1m plus shares on occasion. And you could even feel for Scrimmy who dived in with a 1m buy to support a falling share price during the drilling programme about 8 years ago. For 23p no less! And he’s never sold any of ‘em either.

It would appear that the money slated by Hammond for South Tees is destined to facilitate two “metalworks projects”, rather than anything that might benefit us. I’m rather inclined to sympathy with Anna Turley’s view also, that “£14m is not even close to [what] we need to transform the site to be ready for new industry”. To put that into perspective, it’s about 250 times less than we are looking to raise! Small change, really.

As ever with budgets, the headlines sound great but scratch below the surface and there’s a lot of smoke and mirrors. Still, less tax to pay and beer duty frozen is never a bad thing. All he needs to do now is channel that ‘Brexit dividend’ to the right places and they’ll be swimming in cash. Oh, wait...
