Iirc, the last interims had around $8.6 million as outstanding debt. That would have been $6.6M to Atlas ($500k had been converted), leaving $2M to Mercuria)

Atlas is a convertible bond ie debt.
From Investopedia - A convertible bond is a fixed-income corporate debt security that yields interest payments, but can be converted into a predetermined number of common stock or equity shares. The conversion from the bond to stock can be done at certain times during the bond's life and is usually at the discretion of the bondholder.

There is also outstanding debt and interest payments to Mercuria ( I believe that is currently 'stand stilled' until next year - not sure if interest is still payable monthly though)

In case your research is limited, a few years ago, VAST was producing copper concentrate and generating cash flow

And there are currently 213,000,000 shares in issue, so that's approximately one 20th of 1% have been traded today Mr8008.

So what's your point? That hardly anybody is interested?

Maxcady, imo your posts are as pointless as Mr8008s, you both post about 'ifs' which are rarely backed up by anything other than rhetoric - some may say that's what bulletin boards are for, to others they are just tiresome and potentially misleading

Mr8008, the answer from Mr-Codders gave one example, but there are also other situations to examine - what about one where a company has cash flow, no declared profit as yet, but has a time limited debt obligation?

Naise, read the presentation that came with the revised mining plan, which include figures for ore mined, cost of production, drilling costs, grade expectation, assumed %concentrate and assumed commodity prices.
Those figures show what VAST plan to happen - whether they are better or worse in reality we may find out, depending on the level of detail they release - which historically has been less than complete

Could it be that Zaza is trying to put his other assets out of reach so he cannot pay court costs / damages?

It's in black and white (well red actually) in VASTs own forecasts

GaiasK - the drilling this year is budgeted in the revised mining plan - in effect it is paid out if existing cash reserves (ie the monster placing from Dec), as Baita Is forcasted to still lose money in H1 2021 (April to October)
Then there are the existing topco costs to also come out of those cash reserves.
