QED 'Has the writer not considered that there was a 'secret agreement' between Vast and Mercuria for the concentrate at Baita Plai?.'
Its never been a secret that Mercuria had an offtake agreement with VAST - obviously the specific terms will be covered by commercial confidentiality clauses.
It has been previously debated (a while ago) what form it may take - VAST will get a premium to the copper price for the gold and silver credits, but this will then be reduced by Mercuria's margin, whether it be a fixed discount to the spot price, or a percentage discount or even a combination if both.
Obviously that price is then adjusted by the grade of the concentrate shipped
Using Q1s figures anyone can have a go at working out an estimated average price received per tonne of concentrate - though VAST says shipping times are different from production, they had previously notified in Q4 that around 10 tonnes of concentrate was carried over into Q1, so the production figures should be a fairly reliable guide imo.
As to the costs, myself and Sandy have estimated figures, but they will be very rough estimates as energy prices will also undoubtedly be having an effect - but using last years annual report, anyone can try to come up with their own estimate
From that point add those costs onto the debt that is now scheduled for repayment in May next year and divide by the estimated concentrate price per tonne.
There is of course, one other essential factor after assuming that the Mantis rigs do actually increase mined tonnes by a factor of three ------
