You have made some good points there 3300, and I have to agree about the lack of initiative and action especially in the crucial area of affordable housing supply. Unfortunately, the alternative looks even more scary if one is relying on investment and capital values to protect income.

executed at 14.04 for �314k and �312k both recorded as Sells - but the SP has risen steadily ever since, so reckon this could be a mis-call! Nice show of confidence on Budget day - and the recent volatility here may settle down now IMHO.

Same here, but put in a stop Buy for another 500 at 1160p. Might get that as it eases down once again, then hold for the New Year rise!!

Little is lovely my friend. That may be the lowest price we will see this side of Xmas. After trading and divi to count in, I am holding 6k shares at just over �13k, so will settle down now for the ride. GLA Cards!

You old devil Badger! There was a late trade for 52,679 shares at a cost of �142k! I reckon it was you, and you have been winding me up all along!

Badger - there is always a stock of shares in "free-float" controlled by the MMs, and the price on the day is normally dictated buy the balance of Buys and Sells. Someone posted a rather misleading message on here along the lines of "for every Buy there has to be a Sell" which is not strictly true in the sense that a trade has to be between 2 individuals - it doesn't! The free float is swollen by Sells, and then reduced with Buys - and the net result is the shifting SP, either up or down. Many other factors come into play of course, but the market reaction is the key, and as you say, finding the bottom if you are looking to buy or top up is the hardest thing!

Just had to get engaged at these prices, so nice top-up for 6k shares at 272p which is a surprise price in my estimation. Will be happy to settle now for the New Year and a modest target of 300p which is inside the Broker's forecast.

I made a move the day before Questor at 246p but was badly let down by HL the broker, so then took 224p. It looks clever now, but this is a big surprise for a company that has nothing like the problems of CLLN and is solid in every way. Surely a buying opportunity at these prices?

Saw it drifting lower on Friday badge, so have dropped my limit buy to 275 for 6k shares. Like all on here, I cannot see why the drop after an upbeat trading announcement - but you have to accept the reality and set your own agenda and be prepared to adjust. Those gurus who tell us that you cannot time the market make me smile, because for us PIs timing is absolutely crucial in my view. But this is a good company with a solid strategy, and I think we will be looking at 300+ come the New Year. GLA

Winning all 6 segments of the Educational Re-generation bid has to be welcome good news for the company, and guarantees work until 2021. Can see a steady rise from here once the market fully digests the news.

I understand exactly why you and badge are mystified at today's trading pattern. Seems like the market thought very highly of the trading update in a perfectly sound company, marked it up accordingly, and then the nervy ones and the profit takers (like myself) pressed the sell buttons and created the rather unreal subsequent drop. I like the company and its fundamentals, but I take a rather old fashioned view of investment and carry the old trading floor numbers on my sleeve and they say Sell at a price and Buy at a lesser price. This company pays an extraordinarily good dividend to its shareholders, and this factor has to be worked into the tactics around divi and announcement times. Got lucky this time, and will certainly be back to buy at my nominated level.

It doesn't always work in your favour badge, and you can't always trade at the time you want it. My broker missed a peak for a sell at 246 last week, and it is now hard to trade at 223!! Not so many shares in free float for some of these smaller or middle-sized companies. Will be patient for CARD to touch around 280 now.

How would I miss that with my name badger? Got a nice stop sell at 299, like a bit of trading so will definitely be buying back if we drop to 280p again as I am a strong believer in this share.

Your low opinion of brokers is shared by myself at present - owing in my case to a missed trade instruction which was really ABC! However, I would not extend all that to executive directors - and we have one here who seems very glad to put his money where his mouth is to the tune of �75k. Will keep a watching brief, as I also disagree with the principle of blowing such a large slice of operating profit on dividend rather than investment in the company. The recent large divi has already been lost in a drop of 12% in SP for example.

Have followed your detailed numbers analysis, and the peer comparisons and management failures here. No argument with your facts, but it would suggest that the senior brokers who recommend this share and put greatly increased targets on the SP have failed to do their homework??
