Lumpy Sell for �53k at 313p seems to have turned this south, although the overall volume is emphatically blue. A real bargain now for divi hunters with only a few days to ex.

You did fine in the end, and I did not get on at 1250! Doesn't always work, so settled for a tranche at 1265. Dividend hawks should take a serious look at CARD, paying 17.9p divi in a fortnight's time and rising to 325p today. Lucky to get in early at 319 today, and already up with my ex-divi forecast of 325. Two weeks to go, and I can see this closing on 340, with a fairly gentle post-divi effect. GLA!

Agree with your sentiments and assessment, but can I suggest that when you are looking at an obvious dropper, put in a limit buy at your own selected price, then you will never be disappointed with the price taken - although it may never be reached within your stated time limit. e.g. I am holding a limit buy at 1250 for today so with one little dip, I am on - and don't have to watch the screen all day long!

Saw that, and it had a positive effect on the SP!! This might be hard to buy on the run-up to ex-divi, as the sharp fall from the profits drop report was definitely overdone.

today totalled over �1m, obviously for dividend by institutions. Will see the effect very shortly.

If you are right about the 1270 SP on ex-divi, I will certainly be topping up at that level. Cannot see it dropping by that much, as the effect could be factored in to a degree in the current SP, so the strategy remains an open one!

These are sure to pick up in the pre-Xmas period, and I am giving up the head-scratching over current bargain SP, and getting back in before these go ex-divi. As forecasted, there has been significant swings over the last week or so, and picked up some more at 312 earlier today.

Buying support today, with several lumpy trades including one 200k shares, probably institutional. Will be hard to prevent a steady rise in SP on the back of further support this week.

That's obvious, and why I disagree with the "flatliners" on here. With a very attractive divi in prospect, this will yoyo all the way to ex-divi date - just look at the variation of SP this week. I would say buy on the dips and look at a target of around 325 by mid-Nov and play it accordingly. GLA!

Try and concentrate gooner! Its not ex-divi until next month - and I see that you have changed your advice to Hold? We might be putting you on ignore until you sober up.

You must be the only Gooner in existence who is a shorter!! I thought the club policy was to attack? You are denying the very obvious appeal of a strong divi for this share in a month's time - so why is Thursday such a big deal?

I will stick to my original forecast of around 325, and anything higher would be a bonus. There are a number of divi tourists around, and this share is bound to be a target, so a small retrace post-divi will have to be expected. No matter, this is strong for the mid and long term.

Thanks pinto - a very fair assessment there! I take it that you are of the half-glass full variety? The market seems to agree on this one.

What's the expression - "Never look a gift horse in the mouth." Well, I have had a very good look, and this is a very sound and successful business model - and why knock it because they thought of it first and therefore have a head start on the field? There's enough failed enterprises out there - some we have invested in - so let's enjoy a good one for a change. You might shed some doubt when the annual figures are released and the divi declared.

Brilliant ride by the Eyetie but a bit skinny for me in my present state, so crept in for some burlington on Baattash in the sprint. Like you say, looks like a hold here with one eye firmly on the tactics in China, and now that the firmer ore is coming out of the pit they should really get a grip on the processing quality and quantity.
