Specsavers for you Denby - hindsight is not much good when you cannot see that it closed at 307.5 on Friday and opened higher today and continued upwards! Keep kidding yourself, no-one is impressed.

As you know, my departure back in Feb was a pure distress sell, but it was hastened by the continual negative tripe peddled on here by the likes of the mountie and pondlife etc. I am back in a much smaller way now, but I see that the board is still an infested area, and I am discouraged from posting even though I have the special edition Wolf T-shirt in the wardrobe. RC was a good guy who climbed several mountains for this company in the difficult early days, but finally threw in the towel in favour of an easier life. Taking all into account, how do you read the immediate prospects for further investment?

this SP just had to recover after such an exaggerated fall earlier this week, and will continue to do so up to ex-divi. Hope all PIs took advantage of a great buying opportunity - and there is still plenty of steam left here.

the three heavyweight trades totalling some �657k in the middle of today's session were recorded as "neutrals" - but at 218.25p were very obviously Buys, so the Buy/Sell trading balance shown here is very misleading. Subsequent steady rise in SP with the annual figures due at the end of this month seems very significant to me?

Glad I only counted 2 days and topped up at 279p! More good sense from Alex, as its vital to get a proper retail experienced view rather than hearsay and guesswork in these pivotal situations. Nice to see the anticipated rise back coming earlier than expected with another 2:1 Buy/Sell ratio so far on the market today.

I regard your post as the best assessment I have read on this company's position and prospects - and am a mid to long term holder here, especially at these prices. Cannot see how the RNS should impact the SP to this degree - and the confidence shown at Board level is comforting too. If the doubters have their way, and this drops further I shall be topping up once again, as I see the business model here and the healthy cash flow as a real positive on today's tricky high street scenario. All IMHO, and GL to all Card holders!

with Peel Hunt, in fact think it could go some way further. There will be no lack of appeal of UK Universities to foreign students because of Brexit - they will continue to offer the best value in terms of educational standards and lifestyle. Very pleased that I topped up here recently at 204p.

I would go for around 320/325, which is not great in view of recent levels, but a big improvement on today's rates and with divi tucked away, not a bad position really IMHO.

Nice to read your confidence while this is over-reacting, and the sterling weakness is a big factor in increasing material costs - so great time to get the export drive in place! Like you I am topping up at these prices with 3k shares today, and would buy more if the readies were available. Good volume today with Buys outnumbering Sells by around 2:1, but we are down again with a nasty lumpy sell after the bell. Looking at the fundamentals here, with divi in place, surely a Buying opportunity for those PIs in funds?

We know what the divis are and when they are paid, but this retraction in SP is ridiculously overdone. Read the RNS statement, and there are no alarm bells there, no profit warnings - just a declaration of increased turnover and profits down owing mainly to inflation and higher wages. This is the story right across the high street, but this company with its excellent business model, great cash flow and competitive products should be the last one to be singled out IMHO.

and heavily oversold on today's news IMHO. I made it a Buy at 350p on a stop, so it is certainly one now, and will recover incrementally all the way back up to ex-divi in Late October. Lidl announced reduced profits yesterday, and did not see anyone rubbishing their business model? It is the same story all the way across the High Street, but the strong and cash-rich will survive with the right product at the right price - and that is Card!

Its a great share to hold, and a very well run business in an area of high demand - but everyone has to make a selling decision at some time. Going along with your target figure seems sensible to me - depending on the timeline- so I am a remainer and a topper-upper in these quiet spells. Nothing goes in a straight line, so opportunities will occur from time to time. GLA WJs!

I was beginning to wonder why the volume on here has been so poor - with all the recent positive factors now in place? So.............great to see some overdue activity on this market today. Could this be the Proactive Investor contribution? One strong aspect of the quiet spell has been the solid hold on the Bid price - so get out there BOD and SELL the company as well as the tungsten!!
