I am in Geordie's camp ref lack of technical know-how in this field and in forward calculations that directly relate to the known resources of IOG. Firstly, big thanks for taking the trouble to lay out the salient facts and ponderables in such clear detail. Following the sequence, I am ultra positive in considering the risk to be completely acceptable - but I am a long-term punter in other fields, so taking risk comes quite naturally. With so many new investors drawn to the market in the expectation of fairly immediate returns, this might not be quite so appealing - so patience and watchfullness are required in my view. With trust in MR on the financial supply front, and in the high quality gas engineering personnel on board - I compare this investment to an Ante-Post bet in the Racing game, where the odds are so much better if you see a potential return well in advance..... 5 small trades only today and all Sells, which I find a little hard to understand after yesterday's positive announcement??

Put simply, funding = debt, all essential for projects such as this to develop and succeed. Equally, those that lend have a strong vested interest in its success,so that the minority interest of us PIs is served at the same time. I am going to assume that the role switching is carefully researched and approved by the funding source LOG, and remain comfortable with growing my investment at the current levels.

Market reaction is very lively to this mornings RNS - just hard to understand the retrace after initial sparks. HL who are very reliable in trade details report 2 x �35k Buys at 8.30, which are the lumpiest of the day so far. Don't mind a few sells because it enables those who want to get in to do so with the normally small numbers in free float. We are not far from the levels BEFORE the very positive and long awaited funding news - so another top-up beckons for me.

Levelled off now sage and the surprising lull and first time narrow spread has enabled me to get in a wee top-up at 17.25 - which is a pleasant surprise given all the strong news on funding in today's RNS. Maybe some doubts about MR taking more of a back seat has spooked a few? Still his baby, and I am sure he will be a better back-seat driver than my current version! GLA long-termers ....and shrewd newcomers!

I have topped up again today, and like you olda this has become my flagship investment, with divi payment to come shortly and no surprise if the interim divi tops 2p comfortably later this year. Many thanks for sharing info bandit - they all look interesting, and I will have a more in-depth look at these companies for some investment. My own suggestion for a potential boomer is IOG. I am only lightly invested here, but will take more very soon as they are actively repairing and relining the gas pipeline from the North Sea field into the Thames Estuary, with all its gas station connections. Great find of a massive new offshore gas bubble, and look well placed with an experienced and successful CEO to find the necessary funding to complete the project by 2019/20. Well worth a look at the going rate of 15.75/17.0 with very few shares in float.

Very fair points bandit, and share your view about current wariness and sideways movement. I often make the mistake of too few eggs in the basket and plumping for one prize, so any info you wish to share on other opportunities would be gratefully received to give me a wider spread!

Two lumpy sells stopped any upwards progress on AGM day, although interestingly there were �170k of after-time Buys declared to endorse the positivity declared at the meeting, with confirmation of all the projects detailed in the Annual Report. Could not stay long enough to pose a question about any succession plans for Mark W-J unfortunately.
