Very positive message from MWJ and a great show of confidence in the company he has steered so successfully, and in the new CEO. Today's exaggerated drop is purely down to the main market trembles over Italy and the Trump/China saga. Hold on for the divi guys!

Interesting main article in the ST Business supplement today, quoting 37 of the smaller energy suppliers in the UK at risk of folding as a result of the sudden winter freezes and the energy price spikes that resulted from the"Beast from the East". Also quotes the "perfect storm of weaker European gas production and shrinking storage capacity" holding prices at a considerably higher level, and one company Iresa Energy accepting a major bail-out from a larger industry peer. All points to the gas retail market being very ready for a major reliable supplier to fill the void. Wonder who that could be?

Think jdosso could well be right with this one. All subsequent Buys should have been at least 22+ after a trade of this magnitude if it was indeed a Buy, and Sells were recorded at a lower rate too. But - hey, the final Bid/Offer still finished in blue after comparitively lighter trading, thus proving the new resilience of this share and its SP. Those 1,813,232 GE shares will very soon be snapped up by the new wave of investors here - and I hope by some of the regulars? GLA

Make you right olda - this one is no market tracker, we were even becalmed when the FTSE was roaring past 7800. We have a lot of positives now, and about time that the SP reflected the company's performance and very real prospects. I anticipate a steady climb now up to ex-divi in early June, and appreciate the positive and informative posts we get from rivaldo and others on this board. GLA.

Great few days for the IOG believers, and have had the unusual scenario of holding cash but not finding a "bargain" level to spend it! Finally abandoned the limit buy route, and topped up with 19k at 21.9 - it will look a bargain anyway this time next month! Now finding that bottom drawer quite hard to close.

I think jdosso has got it about right in his reading of Friday's fun and games - as I reported immediately after. And Longside, the reading of Buys and Sells on a lively day is the key to understanding the market, and reading this one was not inter-galactic rocket science. Just for the record, Buys do not have to exactly equal Sells either - if they did an SP would hardly ever move either way. Sure as commented, the reasons for the fairly strong movement will be revealed, and will certainly be positive ones.

worth �957k in the middle of the day - recorded as neutrals, NOT sells by HL, have to be the big order we have all been expecting surely? Otherwise, how would we rise 17% by the end of trading, and how would my own holding rise by over �4k - on the back of big Sells?? Stop it!

It would be better if you took the trouble to read the RNs statements in more detail. It states quite clearly, after the news on the Reading development, that "the Group remains in positive negotiations on several other development opportunities". Rivaldo is one of the more useful posters on this site, always bringing the latest accurate information on WJG projects, and like all of us is fully entitled to his own opinion and forecasts based on thorough research.

Nor have HL, who are recording 19.5 trades as Sells!!! Whatever the reason for all the fun today, our contractor has not been too busy selling. A rise like this is not on the back of a persistent seller, and I cannot get ON for 25k at a sensible limit order price. GLA

If you believe that the 3 early trades for 100k are all sells as recorded, then the contractor has NOT stopped selling. However, why is this bouncing suddenly? The very early "neutral" for 140k was obviously a Buy, and there have been several more minor ones. Just tried for 25k and the quote is a solid 18p - so I guess they must be trying to fill a big order? Lovely to see the movement, and I row in with MadasaHat on his short range forecast!! GLA

As before, my grateful thanks to GGIS for all the patient explanations of a complicated scenario - and I am just beginning to grasp some of the intricacies of the unfolding project. Looks like the repayment via cashed-in shares to BHGE will weigh on the SP for some time - but as others have pointed out, it provides a period of buying opportunity for the committed and optimistic investor. Also share your positive view of the ongoing confidence shown by contractors and suppliers in the future of this company. GLA!

Silly question from a technically challenged one! I can see the possibilities of another link to redundant oilfields - but are the same pipelines equally effective in transporting gas?? Also, the SP is bound to remain becalmed whilst those suppliers paid in shares need their running-around money. Can we persuade them that it is a much better idea to hang on for an improved return?

You don't have to repeat it for me edgar! Strange how some investors use a completely irrelevant yardstick when assessing this important aspect of a developing company. There is a contact with the main wheel for investment at IOG and it has every quiet confidence that this hurdle will be jumped when the time comes. GLA!

Always encouraging to see some keenness to snap up available tranches - and the two �8k trades at 16p are also pretty obvious Buys. Although I also tried for 15k at 16p but could not get on. Timing is the key for Buyers at this level - immediately after a Sell is the best opportunity!
