Yes indeed Long, and from the subsequent effect, quite obviously another heavy buy! Think that the sub-30p buying opportunities may soon be history.

I managed to top up earlier at 29.9p, but amongst the subsequent trades recorded as Sell/Neutral there are some obvious weighty Buys, such as 75k at 30.5p. The wagon is rolling along nicely considering we are in a flat spot for news, and things are looking very promising for all LTHs!

Peel Hunt's recommendation for strong buy came shortly after the BH move and acquisition of 10%, so GGIS and dunder, I would not be at all surprised either! I commented on the effect of a PH vote of confidence at the time. All very intriguing.

Lots of interesting posts today, with some relevant examples of the pattern in the O & G scenario. Personally think that Pipe has got it about right with his forecast, and whatever the slight dilution that occurs through chosen method of funding, its the sign that the bigger fish are waiting for - and we could easily be bought out before production with all the boxes ticked.

Looks like no-one on the board has any interest in my point about improved and creative P.R. emanating from the company. And GGIS "People on the sidelines will finally realise this is happening" - NO they won't, unless they are very positively fed the story through popular media outlets.
Timing is of the essence in this discipline, and I would be planning some serious press and media junkets to all the key extraction sites at the moment critique for maximum impact.

Now is obviously not the time, but I would welcome some more lively PR initiatives from the company when groundbreaking news comes along. By that I do not just mean factual RNS's, but some really positive "take notice and sit-up" features in the FT and national financial news pages. It's a story well worth the telling, and would have a great impact on new investment. GLA

All what sells? Volume is tiny, and interesting theory that you have to raise the price to entice new buyers. Still no news, and we are being advised to wait for next April's elections. Not impressed with any of it, and now we are told that manipulation is going on to depress the price so that all the big cats can hoover it up on the cheap. Very glad that I threw in the towel a while ago for small losses, and I won' be coming back.

Agree with all you say ref: technical advances and series of positives, but especially with AIM companies, the big hitters hold back until they are comfortable with all the funding arrangements - and that includes a second substantial tranche for the Burgers of Schweiz. Meanwhile the more adventurous and well informed P.I.s can top up at the perceived best prices - which IMHO is anything below the 30p marker?

I can understand your caution PD - mainly from personal experience with start-ups being full of promise then failing for lack of funding at crucial stages. These have mainly been in underdeveloped countries with poor and corrupt governance, and have zero connection with the IOG project - with timing,expertise, location, great resource and skilful reliable management all in place. Also, MR has a great track record of success in bringing the required funding to the table - and my confidence in him and the project is unshakeable. We ticked yet another box today, so GLA to a highly encouraging and knowledgeable group of long termers on this board.

Superb news as we all wanted - and as you say, wakey wakey Cityboys, this is wickedly undervalued with so much in place for a great future energy product. Also cheers sage, will have a good gander at that one - and keep smiling, we are all aboard the IOG speedboat now!

Afraid that I have done the same, whether johnknows or not. Yet another AIM company run by self-interest together with incompetence and total disregard for the private investor. Better to take a bloody nose at this stage rather than being gelded for hoping and wishing.

PD - true about the raise, but I hardly think a reputable broker like Peel Hunt would be flagging up a strong buy message at the 30p mark plus a medium term target of 60p if they were expecting a retrace to 20p in the meantime? Brokers have been wrong before, but these boys do their homework - particularly on the finances of an AIM company- before making any firm recommendations.

in the end, and a final day result based on accurate figures was £138k Buys v. £132k Sells. Hardly justification for a 2p drop, but that's how the MMs work on a share that is attracting a lot of attention now. I can see a rebound on the way with either news or a substantial buy at these rates.

He's got me guessing too dunder - but best of luck is what I say to someone who has the bottle to back his judgement with hard-earned, especially in this share. Always so much positivity on this board, especially on days like today when you need a boost from fellow investors. With a lot of recent buying, I am around 20.6p average and happy too for my little pot, but reckon 600 is considerably better - hence his very appropriate call sign!

but you still scratch the head when HL records £70k Sells against £86k Buys? So the sharp drop has immediately brought buyers into the share, and I take the same positive stance as Sailor & Co for the medium/long term.

of nearly 7.5% on there! Impossible to trade, even if you wanted to! Another field day for the MMs.

is a sharp drop for no apparent reason apart from the date! Volume is light with just one medium-sized Sell, and certainly at a level which should attract any sidelines investors.

Its an opinion that any sane-minded investor here has to share Elltel! I sold most of my holding at around 220 before ex-divi to invest elsewhere, but feel lucky to have done so in view of the subsequent unjustified drop in SP. The fundamentals and the prospects in this well run company are exactly the same as before, and if funds were available I would certainly be buying back in at this level.
